ESEA demo's delete after one month. I saved every game from one of the previous invite seasons, but haven't bothered for the last two. Lemme look real quick, and I'll post too....

what does 2011 mean?
I'm only 13, and I'm trying to donate as much as possible.
Expect 50 dollars soon, and hopefully $100 later.
I just wanted to point out that this is amazing.
But seriously now, big ups to enigma and other shadowy members for stepping up to the plate with this. I'm definitely available to consult with these guys, and offer my opinions (set team limit and decision process early, rent rooms asap, dorm rooms not bad). I have no where near the amount of free time it'd take to be an organizer for a campaign i49 so it makes me really happy that others in the community wants to step up and do it again.
It was a big challenge last year, but it can be accomplished again.
i46 was truly something magical, and I know that Europe will respond with enthusiasm again, and i49 could be even better.
Best of luck.
virtually 0 eXposure? LoL
too bad you said May instead of April in the title ;)
We've also tailored the whitelist to include only weapons that provide and offensive buff at the cost of defense (critacola, axstingusiher) and ban items that only provide a defensive buff and thus slow the game down (wrangler, equalizer).
I played in a THS pug a few days ago. Was a fun game on process.
A couple thoughts on the white list ( https://docs.google.com/document/d/1rZG21qdpIBSerFcbr52AB2WsG5VabHe-uUEiqbhtf7Q/edit ): I don't think the escape plan should be banned because while it has an aspect of "defensive buff" it has a major positive impact on team's offensive capabilities.
The "equalizer" rollout is very easy to perform and leads to better heals at mid and a more eXplosive battle. Being able to escape with low health is definitely a perk. However, a player that just had a great escape will return to action faster then a player forced to wait for spawns. This means the escape plane is creating more offensive opportunities.
Pain Train is a great option, but almost becomes the default choice without the escape plan.
I also don't think the disciplinary action should be banned in your highlander rule set.
A positive from the pug was that the kill cam was turned off. It's always nice to see the damage you've left on someone, but this will underline the importance of knowing your damage and making smart calls.
It was definitely a global effort.
An under discussed element of Sal's backing was it allowed us to purchase things up front, then pay him back. Without some sort of financial backer, the fundraising deadline has to be VERY firm, and tickets have to be ready to go at that date. Makes it a bit harder to accomplish.
I've kept quiet on this thread so far...
Like Sal I hope something comes together, but am not currently involved in any plans to do so.
Last year's qualifying tourney was definitely a bit of a bungled affair. Part of the reason why is because scheduling is such a bitch. Picking the ESEA LAN winner is an easier route to go, but that should be made clear from the onset.
Last year we also didn't want to compete with ESEA LAN fundraiser efforts, so felt we couldn't start fundraising until after LAN Finals. Picking the ESEA LAN winner as the fundraiser's goal team is a clean way to do it, but there isn't any lead up competitions that can be used to cheerlead donations. Showmatchs in Vanilla ruleset could definitely be played by the LAN Winners to get ready.
However, there really isn't any guarantee that the LAN winning roster will stay together. A potential trip to Europe could definitely lead the team to shed some "dead weight" and pick up some invite superstars.
One of the mistakes we made last year was to not open the field of the tournament wider. Some pretty strong teams could form out of the woodwork due to the allure of tickets to Europe.
I think the community would definitely fund another team to go, but probably not two.
eXtv would definitely consider spending resources to get there + film again, but we'd also like to save up for gear as well as considering returning to FITES in August.
Great idea. You should Yao at http://keekerdc.com/
tbh though, I wouldn't my vods replayed on there without consulting w/ me first.
Broadcasting eXtv archives has definitely crossed my mind. I need to get another hard drive, then maybe I can put everything in one place and stream a shuffled playlist to eXtvEsports2
go go go
I just got home. Tired as hell and need to step off before my ugc match. Was so much fun.
Curious what other people's favorite moments were.
If anyone is re-watching the footage on our twitch I'd appreciate some help highlighting out some sweeet moments.
<3
was so much fun.
Shrugger missed his plane this morning by mere moments :/ Shoulda capped the point (get to the gate) ASAP instead of trying to make a big play (hit the bathroom first).
Hope he gets home alright.
