I'd look to choose a class keeping in mind that class's playstyle in competitive, what type of practice you most enjoy, and what sort of responsibility you might enjoy.
Do you want to play both 6s and HL in the future? You might want to main scout, soldier, demo, or medic.
Do you think you'd like to practice jump maps, find hitting directs/airshots very rewarding, and want to either be a major playmaker or the person take heals and getting a ton of damage/frags? Play soldier, and learn roamer/pocket.
Do you have good hitscan and movement, like surfing, and maybe want to improve numerous classes simultaneously? Maybe try scout, and practice your engi/heavy/spy/sniper play.
Do you like having a lot of responsibility and your life being highly valued, with a lot of focus on game sense? Play a combo class like demo or medic.
Are you going to be insanely good, or would you rather a higher likelihood of actually being picked up? Pocket and demo mains are in short supply, becoming proficient at either will increase your chances of finding a 6s team.
In HL, demo, heavy, and GOOD scout mains are tough to find. There are a ton of sniper and pyro mains.
Good luck : )
owlu seen what some of these cs players say to each other? I'm pretty sure nothing you say in chat during a game is gonna actually get you penalized
when did I say it was shit talk that was the issue? ...
IT'S OVER WE CHILL
I'd rather not go into it since Diashock was wonderful and added us to apologize. It was something that could have created a penalty, which I'm presuming they weren't aware of, but they had a team talk after and I'm sure everything will be great in the future :)
Best of luck to danada cry for the rest of the season.
I don't think teams are stringent enough with their tryouts.
I'd recommend numerous weeks of scrims and actually verbally discussing each person's viewpoint on how much commitment they want to give, if they just want to win or if they want to put in the work to improve, personalities and how they mesh on a team, and everyone actually being honest with one another.
Maybe we'd have more teams that stick around for more than one season, or partial seasons.

You may want to take ChibiBoutique off of those rankings

Done, thanks :)
SpadesTino_having the 2 conferences is better for the competitionNot when one conference is obviously stacked with way more playoff teams than the other
I decided to do a quick tally using whyme's Week 1 rankings to see where the Top 16 + Malicious Activity (since unranked) + 2 Notable Mentions stand in each conference, labeled with the corresponding ranking. So for your curiousity:
Central Conference (11 predicted playoff teams)
1. No Johns
2. Egg Salad Dressing
3. Not Around Bears
5. The lolipoppers
7. Bote 6v6
8. Bearly Getting By
9. Shutup Mom im Bowflexing
10. Can't Predict Stupid
11. Wut Dude
14. Milters
17. Bob-Omb Squad
East Conference (87 predicted playoff teams)
1. Malicious Activity
4. The Westbrook Effect
6. ie Sparkle Gang black
12. Every Villain is Lemons
13. Kuwumbu Jungle 2
15. Cool club
16. ChibiBoutique ESPORTS
18. Hurricane Watch
Central conference definitely looks more loaded top ranked teams.

It'd be cool to use each other's codes to help quicken the process/get more people in. Mine is here
couch_sitterBarring any rescheduling by teams or ringing for scrims, I am planning to cast the following matches this week over on my twitch channel
Just a note, while I may not watch casts live, I really enjoy going back and watching casts during my downtime or while I'm at work. Thank you for casting open, and to everyone who is doing open casting and coverage (loot, whyme, tery, etc). The weekly power rankings help me figure out what teams I should start scheduling scrims with, too :D
Open is where we're starting to develop the coordination and drive as individual players to progress, and coverage helps showcase new talent as well as give recognition to players newer to the scene. Every bit helps grow the scene!
Huckask her if she wants to go with you and your boyfriend (make sure you put emphasis on you having a boyfriend and make sure he is very attractive) Afterwards she'll probably say "I didn't know you were gay" and saying it will probably make her uncomfortable but its ok as long as you laugh afterwards. Then you admit that you aren't actually gay you are just bisexual. A few days later (don't wait too long) have your wingman who was posing as your boyfriend break up with you. Ask the girl if you two can talk because you are in a dark place right now. Once you get to the hot-n-heavy shit and start discussing your feelings and stuff thats when you make your move.
not that :p
I don't think you've necessarily waited too long - it depends on her personality. I liked the same guy (who was becoming my best friend) for 3 months and never told him, got drunk and told him that I "used to" like him, he freaked out and we dated for 7 years.
Just be honest and put the option out there. Ask her out in a non-awkward way that doesn't make her want to ghost on you - "hey, you're pretty great, would you want to go ____ sometime."
Keep it simple, say something complimentary, and let her know you're in to her. :)
dedicated, good decision making & DM, and is only going to improve. give him a shot!
I played a tf2center HL match on gravelpit (because I was familiar with the map from pubs) as medic. I got one uber and dropped 3 times.
