I've been looking up knives recently, I'm pretty new to it as well. I think I'll just have my brother/brother in law (who are military) pick me out one for Christmas so they don't have to pick out some pretty nail polish :P

I prefer scrimming teams that are better or at the same level as my team; this tends to only be ~8 teams that would make for good scrims. I'd rather just message those 8 leaders, especially ones that are prompt and don't fuck around, to make the most out of the 4 scrim slots I have each week. I'll use discord if I don't feel like searching or if I get cancelled on. Weeklies are so much more preferable.

Being late is DEFINITELY an issue, though, and it's also cyclical - you see they don't have 6, so you let your teammates mge/surf/jump/etc., and they don't get their 6 bc you don't have yours, etc.

Not ideal. 10:30 scrims tend to start on time at least. We should definitely make a conscious effort to not waste everyone's time and either be on time or give a warning.

I have had weather-related nightmares for my entire life - usually water-based ones, where a cyclone, tsunami or hurricane will be coming/will destroy, and I'll usually be with friends or family I'm trying to save but they don't/won't listen. This Geostorm movie.... pretty accurate, plus add some cyclones/water twisters.

First ever was a HL lobby where I played the map on pub servers, so I thought it was a good idea. Not a good idea.

I didn't play 6s again for over 3 months.

Bring him onto an empty server, show him each class and what each weapon does. He'll likely automatically be like "oh wow this one is fun!" or be drawn to a character - he can start there. Soldier and pyro are both good starting classes - I remember being super confused by demo (things rush me and I can't kill them WHAT DO I DO) and spy at the beginning.

Payload is probably the easiest - follow the tracks for both offense and defense. At that age, definitely disable all chat and I agree with a previous statement about reducing the amount of blood/gibs/etc.

For now, he can just hop around. He'll probably start asking questions about what you do, what you play, and want to mirror you being that you're his dad - and then you can start showing him how to PG Mr. Wrech :)
