I built my first thing yesterday :) Waiting to do the software stuff, we shall see how it goes.
Thanks for your help, Setsul!
I've had both, also with a combined claw/palm grip. My Deathadder died on me in just over a year. The g402 was up next, I liked that more than the Deathadder due to the additional side buttons (I started to rely on those a lot), however my M1 started sticking and then stopped working entirely. I think I'm pretty hard on my mice as I tend to press and hold M1 pretty firmly for long periods of time, not sure.
I have the g403 now and it's also pretty great, lasting so far... it seems mice only last me a year. :P
Hey Pont, look for the pcpartpicker permalink in the top left corner of the website, it will link your parts in a way we can see it.
Took the plunge and ordered https://pcpartpicker.com/list/zN9vhq AHHHHHHHH FIRST BUILD HYPE
Any updates/reviews on AM4 motherboards yet? I'm thinking now of going with one of the B350s as I'm likely to never use dual graphic cards. Waiting to order/build until I pick out a mobo, a bit tentative as a lot of them seem to have iffy reviews so far.

mom, nephew, dad :]
Here's what I'm thinking so far for a Zen build, with the motherboard and CPU cooler being up in the air still:
PCPartPicker part list: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/64wcjc
CPU: AMD RYZEN 7 1700 3.0GHz 8-Core Processor ($328.89 @ OutletPC)
Motherboard: Asus PRIME X370-PRO ATX AM4 Motherboard ($179.94 @ Amazon)
Memory: Kingston Savage 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-2400 Memory ($135.79 @ Newegg)
Storage: SK hynix SL308 250GB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($82.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Storage: Toshiba 2TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($67.88 @ OutletPC)
Video Card: Asus GeForce GTX 1070 8GB Dual Series Video Card ($404.05 @ B&H)
Case: NZXT S340 (White) ATX Mid Tower Case ($66.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Power Supply: Corsair CSM 550W 80+ Gold Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply ($65.98 @ Newegg)
Total: $1332.51
All the AM4 brackets seem sold out or not produced yet.. I'll probably wait a few weeks to see what happens
At a restaurant, definitely preference for french toast because you usually get breakfast meats with them and i like sweet/savory, followed by waffles (probably the most delicious by itself of the three). Pancakes are too dense, don't have a crispy exterior, and end up absorbing all the butter/syrup compared to letting you enjoy it.
Okay I was trying to keep my previous post succinct without all my neurotic tendencies attached :P
I currently have (and was streaming with) an AMD fx-6300, and I had no issues with it - so I was more wondering if, for my own personal use, I would even notice the improved performance between the two.
As far as not wanting to overclock, my logic is similar to why I wouldn't, say, dismantle the governor on a dirt bike or go-kart. I'd rather just spend a little extra money and get one designed to go faster than overwork a slower version and risk shortening the life span, especially since I tend to keep my computers for a long time. I'm not nervous about the steps of overclocking as it seems pretty straightforward. I'm probably naively too cautious.
I know nothing of technology beyond the half semester of a computer science class I'm currently taking, so I'm really just learning from scratch here. I'll probably just end up doing what you're recommending..... once I grow comfortable with the idea.

es so cute!
I plan on completing a first time build sometime in the next 2 months, I'll come back with a theoretical build for feedback at a later time. For now I'd like to pick out a CPU to create a build around.
This will be my first build and I do not plan on overclocking. I primarily play TF2, some other occasional games that I don't really care about frames/super high performance (OW, hearthstone, KF2, etc), I used to stream a ton and will do so again once I move this summer, and I'll be doing some coding.
I was thinking of getting the i7-7700 (not the 7700k) as I plan for a ~$1000-1500 build without peripherals or software, would the Zen be a better option and give me a better performance even though I do not plan on overclocking? The monetary difference between the two is pretty negligible, and I'm concerned about Zen being brand new without all the kinks worked out (i.e. the current BIOS issues, which are temporary but I dislike other theoretical hidden compatibility issues).
Additionally, I don't even know if Kaby Lake is even worth it over an earlier generation. I wouldn't mind spending my money on other things in life.
Thanks for all your work/feedback :]

PankeymanFurthermore, I think girls would think I'm cooler and more appealing if I have my own place, would they want to bang me more if they knew we were gonna do it away from school? Also, if I lived alone would people think I am badass and mysterious? Do I have an automatic higher coolness rating if I have my own apartment? Would my peers want to come over and hang out with me after school more if they knew there was a nice, inviting and cozy place to visit or whatever? Or would being a distance aways deter them, and would they rather just stop by somebody’s dormitory room instead?
I just noticed this part after Differ posted - girls will NOT be more attracted to you because you have your own place. I only dated one dude through all of college, but I can say with 100% certainty it did not matter to me where he lived, and it did not inhibit us from banging. It was going to happen if it was going to happen.
Also, friends/people in general will usually go for convenience of location rather than the most cushy option - if a bunch of people live near X and you can drink there, you'll go to X. My friends and I when we lived in dorms would just sit in hallways and chat, or near a 24/7 cafe, or just someone's dorm that happened to have two cool people living in it. I think that saying is true where it doesn't matter where you are, just who you're with.
