or the jediflamaster vid where hes killing the scout by flailing at the same speed a 3 shot would. the scout never fires a fourth shot. ofc hes playing the matchup wrong by running forward into it and not pussying away, which he could do for 4 shots, take no damage and then move in for a 2 shot if the pyro didnt die to the 4, which is boring for both, just the same boring approach to the same boring fight, but ofc scout v pyro mge is stupid anyway.

idk why youre talking shit about 'flex' like it wasn't already common knowledge that the new pyro doesnt do anything new tor 6s, apart from maybe that cherry picked swelan clip. im sure were all talking about casual which is the only thing this shit pertains to anyway and i guess HL but idk about tha shit

if we assume the pyro isnt some guy who just installed the game, and was one of those pyro mains with da MLP avatar and unusual circling hearts hat, u kno the type, if youre in their range, theyre gonna hit you. jediflamasters gonna hit u every time... we'll community fund u to come to europe to feel his flames... so now u got 2 options. 1. actually 3 shot him, but live with 20 Hp or less and die to after burn while he just spawned or 2. pussy away and while youre doing that be vulnerable to the other 11 ppl who will now shoot you in the back

so thats why the range is a retarded way to balance. idk why the mongos keep saying that range shit like thats a proper effective way to balance any wep. or like how i usually die to it where im fighting 3 ppl in front, taking no damage cause theyre pubbers and then get ran over by 1 from behind who insta kills me

the last time i played tf2, the guy top scoring by far on harvest was doing phlog and jet pack, jetpacks to the point and just phlogs it cause its like a small house where nothing can touch it. ofc i didnt die to it, but all my mongo team did and if i were to stop it id have to do 30 damage shots at range while the other ppl on his team were shooting my back.

no ones said it was OP, but isnt that just a stupid way to die?

but overall, theyre not gonna change this shit anyway. the update was too hyped and the initial reaction was so mixed cause a lot of people just want to be happy about it cause they had high hopes, when really this update was garbage. it was probably the most well received update ever, in which it was mixed, so i guess valve feel pretty good about making the game stupider on multiple levels now. its not rly something to care about though cause it doesnt effect it THAT much but its still facking stupid

elo is fine. its annoying how the round restarts so frequently, but i get the server needs restarting. it just happens more than any other server. its also annoying how u need to be clicking around in spec, otherwise u dont get to play the arena. afk time needs to be increased

no ones going to be able to really tell you how to do it in a forum post because its just 'feeling' you develop, as in youre not even consciously thinking and its working more than it used to. i guess its just being able to anticipate where theyre going to shoot the rocket and reacting ahead of time, but don't think youre not going to get hit because any good soldier is going to hit you no matter how 'unpredictable' you are, and its about using that rocket to fight him or some shit.

but thats all bullshit because i don't think you can put it into words. theres lots of things you can do and ways you can take the matchup. you can just never jump and be as effective as someone just spamming space bar, for example. whats most important is that you hit everything though, vs any level of soldier on any map. its all about who kills who first, obviously, and depending where you spawn and where they are, the class who has the advantage to kill faster easier changes, so does your approach to the fight.

the way i learned was just throw myself at soldiers in ammomod until i unconsciously worked out how to do it. i picked ammomod as a place to learn because its the hardest place to play it (soldiers have a huge advantage), youre only going to have soldiers join, unlike viaduct/bad mid etc which means theres no stupid crying over who is playing what class, there's no way for you to hide or play gay so youre always playing correctly, youre going to always be juggled and hit because of how easy it is for the soldier to do it, so youre always getting used to being thrown in the air and learn ways to deal with it etc.

its also really easy on the ego, if thats an issue with you, because its never embarrassing losing vs a soldier on that map, but kind of impressive and shit. like if i had below 70 ping constant and lost there i'd be embarrassed. its so one sided that i can hold my own vs IM/invite scouts that are much better than me on 130-150 ping, but any other map i'd be lucky if i got 10 with that ping vs those same scouts. so you've really got nothing to lose, not like you do anyway.

but thats just how i learned. even from just playing that map, i'm confident vs soldiers in any scenario i guess because of how general and difficult it is.

you can just run at soldiers on top of trains for ages and if you try enough things and don't miss you'll just work out what the right shit to do is, which is a combination of a lot of shit. playing in europe, thats all youre going to get, because regular MGE EU people don't really get soldier v scout for some reason. they would much rather play soldier v soldier viaduct mid or soldier v soldier gran last cause theyre idiots i guess. even though sitting on the train is the least productive and easiest thing to do, 90 percent of public MGE EU soldiers are gonna do it cause they know nothing else. but yeah, if you play properly you'll get it eventually.

watch better scouts. b4nny streams this matchup everyday vs ppl trying their hardest to embarass him. you can see how to deal with that, and soldiers in general just by watching that, and its gonna be better insight than anyone in this thread can give.

Slicerogueyes im sorry i dont want a spy dead ringing behind, sniping me for 102 and then when my soldier goes to fight him he dr's away only to come back and shoot me for 102 over and over again with no punishment.

yeah thats the problem though it wasnt the amby it was the DR. if i ever died using that combo it was because a sniper headshot me/someone surprised me but other than that i thought it was funny and obv awful design i could go anywhere on the map, run at 3 pyros and still have more than half my health when i go to safety. they change the DR like every patch and have no idea what to do with it, actually they have no idea what to do with spy as a class, but this new invulnerability to flames is just the most stupidest idea you could possibly think of, but its still there i think. ive never gone for a backstab and dont want to but i think i could probably still get away with that shit even with this ammo nerf cause the thing is just dumb. i hadnt played spy in years but when i started the amby shit i didnt need to learn the ins and outs cause it plays the game for you.

if he had the invis watch, your soldier would just kill him and then its a balanced situation cause the spy had to decide when it was the right time to go for it and stuff.

im not a spy main ive only used it in casual, but 102 isnt even a lot which justifies the infinite range it had. if i didnt hit it on a 125 class which was most likely a scout or a pyro chasing me, they just heal it back up and do the shit they were doing before it didnt even matter. if you are a scout its your own fault you got hit with it anyway. when i play against it i never get headshot even if the spy main is clearly some sort of weaboo virgin with a youtube channel.

it was by far the hardest weapon to do 100 damage with, on a class that without the dead ringer, insta loses any fight vs any class that isn't sniper/medic as long as theyre on your screen, to a point where shooting a spy just seems like wasted time and ammo that i could be using vs someone who could actually kill me. ofc this is just pubbing.

as someone who has only played vs spies in a pub scenario i dont get this gamesense mumbo jumbo at all its either you turn around and insta kill the guy or you dont and he insta kills you. its a really stupid coinflip, and nerfing the 1 other playstyle you could have with it, that was interesting to people who werent spy mains or didnt play spy at all, just makes the class a one dimensional coinflip, much more so than the other classes. spy is by far the most underpowered class right now, which is a shame given how its probably the most pubbed class. is it really that bad that it could do 100 damage from afar? and its not like they were just rattling them off only 1 shot was accurate that gave you time to get to a healthpack or dodge or kill them too. if theyre going through this route they should at least increase the accuracy of it, but that sounds like an actual issue and maybe wont even be as fun anymore cause at that point its just not as hard or rare anymore, but the class really needs some proper combat

also were not all acooma. ive never played vs a spy that could do anything annoying/significant with that gun to a point where it was noticable and like i said ive played vs tonnes of weebs and shit. its like saying we gotta nerf scout cause shrugger just ran at froyo with 9 hp so its just facking OP.

we're only looking at it in terms of casual. it was clear after the first map of that essentials cup that the new pyro shit doesn't add anything unique to be used in comp. i feel like valve and the reddit community disregard tftv's opinion because they think tftv's just out of touch with anything that isn't 6s, but thats not always true.

unless ur name is muuki, ma3la, grape or jediflamaster if u wanna do that full time pyro shit you can forget about it kiddo...
