no its a windows laptop, so whatever is wrong with it is 'fixable'. i just think they put different values in that to make it easier for trackpad users

i play on a laptop, which isn't meant for gaming and therefore i think the manufacturer of the laptop has made it so the mouse acts differently (as in suited for people to use the trackpad to just open browsers and stuff) than the norm.

every time i restart my laptop, my mouse feels notably different and has done since forever. i know this isn't in my head because i can feel it even on the desktop, and i will sometimes just restart my pc till it feels slightly ok before playing. the mice at school even feel more responsive/accurate despite the fact that i use a much better mouse than the one at school. so i decided to try and find out why this was. i looked at my registry and found these two files, smoothmousex/ycurve and i'm not sure they match up to what a normal computer has.

i tried their values and it didn't feel right at all either.

does your pc have these files? if they do, i'll be interested in seeing what values yours has. also, what is even the purpose of these? my understanding so far is that it is mouse acceleration, in which case should i delete them?
