This should be pretty cool. I have casted with v1tor in the past for show matches, and the South American scene is full of really passionate people like him. It may be a scene that's smaller than ours, but it's no less exciting. People should check this out if they can!

Bottom line is this is a growing industry which will likely be larger than real sports eventually in terms of fans/viewers, and the old men who run the world have to acknowledge this is the case, and modify or create new rules accordingly.

I mean it's really upsetting that something like this happens. Was there any marketing effort done at all? We find out on TFTV 11 days before the event is going to happen, when it's basically impossible to make a plan to now attend. And so now there will be (maybe) some sort of tournament, using weird non-comp maps, which will look like a joke. And people will say "wow TF2 couldn't even get teams for a comp event? and they are an esport?"

My apologies if this seems overly pessimistic.
