Just the awesome scale of it all.. you have to walk all the way through it and.. I don't know, as a new Fallout player I was in awe. Just a wide open wasteland of literally nothing. It was just a feeling of "Wow, this is REAL devastation." It was definitely a highlight for me so far.

I'm a bit surprised how many ball surgeries we've had here in just two pages

Anyway I had stitches on my face when I was two

I also had four wisdom teeth and four bicuspids out at the same time, what a thrill. Valium through an IV is lovely and makes the walls and windows melt.

I also had a ball taken out due to testicular cancer. I'm not sure if that's better or worse than testicular torsion, but I'm okay now either way.

then have Dota and CSGO work the same way (even if the list of TFTV users is empty)

enigmadoes anyone actually use the tf2 tab?

might just axe that since it seems a bit redundant, especially now that tf.tv streams playing tf2 have priority now on the main tab.

I see it's already gone, but I kinda liked having it as a quick way to check out other TF2 streamers that were smaller or who were lesser known. I found that usually there were 2-3 times more people streaming TF2 than we have on our sidebar. I guess I'll just use Twitch now!

Screwball wouldn't you put dingalings and ragdolls and custom HUDs toward the very bottom of the wishlist though? I would argue they don't really affect a new player's ability to learn and play the game. The weapon and balance discussion is probably a lot more pertinent, isn't it?

ScrewballDoes anyone here have any contacts within Valve? The default settings are in DESPERATE need of updating. FOV should be LOCKED at 90, the default net settings are a mess, there is no menu option to disable phong and ragdolls/gibs, hitsounds/numbers need to be on by default and the default hitsound needs to be made less annoying. Per weapon viewmodel and crosshair options should be added as should black outlined crosshairs (or at least make custom crosshairs work on pure).

Allso this has probably already been said a thousand times but random crits REALLY should be disabled by default in pubs. With them adding competitive to the mix it wouldn't make sense not to. While it doesn't affect the gameplay in competitive it does give new players (the kinds that would be interested in the comp scene) the wrong idea.

I'm not trying to be a dick, don't take it the wrong way - but this hasn't been released yet. It's not done, it's not out. We aren't even supposed to be seeing it. It's not fair to judge it yet.

Your points are absolutely fair (though some are very nitpicky and relatively minor). But it's not out. I am sure a time will come when Valve and our community heads will talk and figure this shit out.

I can understand wanting to know more. I want to just as much as the next person. But my fear is people start posting about bugs, or things that will be changed eventually, or server problems, or whatever, and the HYYYPE TRAIN just starts tearing it apart and destroying it before it's even released

StaticVoidm4risai cant wait to get destroyed by cheatersperhaps require a premium TF2 account to play MM? I mean, it wouldn't stop all cheaters, but it would stop people from just making account after account.

Valve has already stated (during the community visit) that they want to figure out the best obstacle for cheaters.. whether it be some sort of paid pass, amount of hours.. whatever. They want whichever one is best and allows mostly the nice people to play.

I think you should chase this down and keep putting work into it - many have tried to make this work before and have lost interest or what have you. If you have to team up with other people to make it a reality - do it! You're right when you say this is probably the PERFECT time for this, and this could get really big with matchmaking coming.
