CovooBeto should have won Texas because he said At the Drive-In was a better band than The Mars Volta. Texans don't know what's good for them. Ted Cruz when pressed on the subject said "Uhhh I really like Noctourniquet."
so fuckin strange but made me laugh
ProSkeezstop sponsoring sandblast
it's not to disagree or to remove blame
but blaming this team folding on one person only is kinda like blaming just Trump/Obama for US issues or whatever. more of a team effort than just one dude
I've gotta think there's a way to post about his tweet without being dickhead fuckin children
I hope this doesn't turn into a shitposting thread, because I think you make an interesting point
The world, and history, is full of situations where people said "Nobody will ever be able to top this." Records which were thought unbeatable, beaten. In sports, video games, speed-running, all over the place.
And so it might be motivational for some up and comers (and maybe the less cynical veterans) to remember that. In 2007/08, folks that were Quake/TFC veterans or whatever may have possibly thought "We are the pinnacle, we are the best. We've put in tons of work, and folks will never top what we do" etc, and that seems funny to look back at now.
I think we do understand the various skill ceilings a lot better these days, especially after 10 years, and we've picked through the game code about as thoroughly as possible, but never say never - in a few more years, we may find it funny to look back and see that one player dominated the NA scene for 3-4 years in a row.
don't need to have passion for the game to come hang out at Episode 3 ;)
Daffodil-I also just wanna say, most people in this community just aren't experienced with the weapons that aren't commonly run in 6s. In the invite meeting most people had tons of misconceptions about items or were not aware of how they currently function. Just as an example, people talked about the reserve shooter and how it could be combo'd with airblast... despite not realizing that airblasting upwards after the jungle inferno changes (almost a year ago) is inconsistent at best AND that the reserve shooter doesn't even work with airblasting regardless. I don't trust the "community opinion" because you can pretty much guarantee that at worst its uninformed, and at best its just gonna be pushback against unlocks because "lol dumb weapons."
I think this is important to note and repeat, and I'm glad it's from someone in Invite who attended the meeting.
I hope that everyone who is railing against weapons has had a look to see how they actually work. Not so much Cow Mangler etc because we know what that is, but like Daffodil points out, some weapons have been changed multiple times since they were last seen in Invite.
Let's try to stay away from knee-jerk reactions if we can. It's good to be informed if you're gonna give your input.
so what will the discussion look like if b4nny's team wins anyway, even with players who "aren't as good"
as long as this doesn't happen every season we'll be fi
It took about an hour for it to turn into "This community is too sensitive" so at least the kids still have time to read the forums now that school is starting
DanSI asked several times for at the very least a rundown of the production setup but got nothing. I found out what I was working with on Thursday.
Yikes. That's.. rough. I hope the powers that be are hearing you.
I may be suggesting something that's already being done or is already done, but I'm hopeful you guys can do some sort of thorough debrief/retrospective etc to look at how everything went, what the issues were, and outline some specific strategies or ways you can prepare for this better next year. Best way to learn and improve imo. I'm sure tons of folks would be interested in suggesting ideas. Maybe like a feedback form or something? I know something similar is done after TOTH each year, and actually it may have happened after i61 but I don't recall.
Not sure if I posted it here yet or not but want to echo that the good parts were really cool and good, and there was plenty to be happy about. But yeah the bad parts tended to be rough or frustrating for the viewer (and probably moreso for those of us who were spoiled on the so-called "golden age".)
