ElenaManettahpqoeu[the fact that enthusiasts do it for free"The fact that they can get away with free labor years down the line while still retaining the power to shut down any project based on their product" is awful justification. Especially given the poor timing of your post with other TF2 mods currently suspended with everyone left in the dark as to why where it's a 50/50 chance right now the mods will either be implemented or denied to the public.
hpqoeubro go post about unity tf2 on reddit or something instead of this it's not a good lookYou can't spew random buzzwords out and hope it makes for a good insult. Defending the decision to exploit modder's free labor is a horrible look.
weren't all these mods based on leaked source code obtained and released without permission??
ElenaManettahpqoeuthis has nothing to do with bad and bloated coding, the fact is the game runs on an engine first released in 2004, when people were still running pentium 4s or athlon 64s, with a single core. the engine has not been made modern to take full advantage of the processing power of new computers all the while the game has gotten significant amount of content added, some of which i imagine is very high poly count because it has been made in recent times.Cool, now what's the justification that Valve will never port TF2 to an engine that is now six years old and that enthusiasts have to do it for them?
nevermind the fact that sure, hardware has gotten faster, but ALL software has gotten more demanding, not just your 14 year old game. steam now basically has an embedded browser for the library and chat display. you just don't know what you're talking about
the fact that enthusiasts do it for free AND that theres a lower standard for an acceptable product from a group of modders vs one of the best established game companies? bro go post about unity tf2 on reddit or something instead of this it's not a good look
ElenaManettahpqoeuwow! i can't believe the tf2 team froze the tf2 codebase 14 years ago, no updates or added models whatsoever. sunshine? whats that bro, lets go play some goldrushWho defends Valve's known bad and bloated coding that gets so bad, modders have to fix it for them?

ElenaManettacorsairwow it's almost as if hardware that was powerful 10 years ago isnt as powerful as hardware now10 year old hardware shouldn't struggle to run a 14-year old game.

taxation is theft and i hate public roads. on an unrelated note, one of my relatives has come down bad with covid and the hospital bills are really high, i would appreciate if you guys would come and donate some money on my gofundme. i also accept prayers and blessings
if you're running a linux server just crontab it instead of something external. windows has something similar where you can schedule services
torrithpqoeuwhat's stopping you from buying a cheap tkl with gateron reds or similar. why do you need a ducky specificallybetter build quality? i like my keyboards feeling solid and not flimsy
literally all these premade tenkeyless gaming red switch keyboards are more than likely made in the exact same factory with the same materials and by the same people. you are not paying for build quality

CaptainZidgelhpqoeuthat is a good idea i never thought of thatCaptainZidgelhttps://gist.github.com/CaptainZidgel/47a17742ea2a648272478f47b95c4af3
here's a thing that takes your lawena output (a1_xxxx.tga .. z26_xxxx.tga) and makes an automatic job for virtualdub to render out all the different clips to .avi in a row.
if ur doing this i would advise u to use ffmpeg instead, which has the added benefit of being able to encode it at the same time
if anyone knows the good cmds to do this let me know because I'm pretty sure Lawena's 60 fps option really records at a variable 58.~ish and vdub accounts for that by setting the framerate based on audio file length but idk how to do that in ffmpeg.
i've never actually used lawena but from asking, when recording it seems it's the same as setting host_framerate and doing startmovie.
for reference, here's my script that i've used for years https://pastebin.com/5P9aw90D
-framerate is just the same value that i set host_framerate to in game before recording, as long as it's the same for both places it turns out fine

one of my favorite pastimes is to shit and piss myself as violently as possible, making sure to worry my neighbors and all the people around me
