Anyone with a standing desk?

You don't want to be standing the whole time either. Ideally you would alternate between standing and sitting for equal periods of time, as standing for extended periods has its own set of issues.
Of course, if you do balance the sitting and standing well, it's infinitely better than a regular desk.

Man, that sucks in a lot of ways. Even if the gameplay is 20% slower than Quake it would sort of be acceptable. But anything less, and it'd just be horrible handling of the franchise.
If it does end up being only slightly slower, it might at the very least draw attention to arena FPSes, which can't be a bad thing.

Durable earbuds?

Had xiaomi pistons(2nd edition) for over a year now, and no issues at all. They don't take much of a beating from me, but the regular cable bending at the joint when in pocket thing happens often enough and they still work fine.

Just a pointer; when you're painting environments, objects that are further back will generally appear lighter, and less saturated on account the additive effects of atmospheric fog. So basically, your scene is following the reverse of what it should be.
