You can't exactly take out your liver for very long. It's not kidneys.
There are liver transplant operations, but they're risky and are only viable depending on the type of cancer.

You'd need to try but I doubt it. If mat_phong doesn't work, mat_reloadmaterials and mat_reloadtextures probably won't either since they're basically doing the same thing. And materials get unloaded after leaving a server and loaded again when joining, so I don't think something you do on one server will persist after.
I don't know for sure, I haven't done it, but that's what I'd guess.

Pretty sure you can force a reload of materials by changing mat_phong while on the server. It's not quick or automatic but afaik it should work.

You mean the weapon ctx's? You could disable the sounds of some weapons, but that's really it.
Unless you mean game_sounds.txt, which I could never get to work fully and reliably.

That sounds awesome though, like green if you do 100+, blue if you do 70-99, orange if you do like 35-69, and red if you do insignificant damage (colours may vary). Is there no way to do that through hud edits?
It's possible, but you'd need a lot of custom fonts, a lot of finetuning, and probably refracts (so dx9 only), only to run into the same problem as damage numbers (where they malfunction if you don't actually see the hit itself). And at that point you may as well just put your damage numbers below your crosshair or something.

I'm pretty sure this won't work in sv_pure but eh. I can't really run tf2 to test right now.
Could probably catch some more sounds with game_sounds.txt if this doesn't do enough, I don't really know as much as I'd like about bypassing sv_pure for sounds. Figured I may as well.

If it's something nice you'll basically for sure get someone willing to do it for free. I don't know if anyone's approached you, but I can't see all that many people willing to commit to something they're not even sure if you've sorted out, let alone got a nice workable concept for.

I found this HUD on huds.tf and have fallen in love with it.
However, there is one thing that i would like to change based on my personal preferences. How do I restore the sniper scope to the default in the game (with the orange tinge n all) - as I do not want to get lazy and disconnected from the original scope.
Also how would one edit the hud to move the health and ammo to the bottom of the screen?

also PS with the changes made to the sniper rifle scope, is this legal (i.e. not VAC bannable).

You should be able to send things down to the bottom of the screen by editing tf/cfg/prismhud.txt, setting pcfg_hudpos=0 to pcfg_hudpos=1. If you want to manually edit, it'd be resource/ui/hudplayerhealth.res and resource/hudlayout/hudlayout_prism.res that you'd want to edit.

This ain't exactly a hud question but zoom_sensitivity_ratio 0.833333
