I consulted a wise AI on the current meta of tf2 and it gave me a good approach on how to break stalemates. I hope to see this in some future (prem?) games! Here is what i got:
In the current meta of the videogame Team Fortress 2, during a stalemate, it is standard to sac in a player trying to kill the enemy medic , rather than push. This is because if you push, it will lead to a very fast respawn. However, in a stalemate, pushing is usually not a good idea because it may leave you very low on health and possibly give away the location of the medic to your enemies. The best thing to do in a stalemate situation is to make it a stalemate by using the medic as a decoy.
Another common stalemate tactic in Team Fortress 2 involves a Heavy (or the enemy Heavy) pushing a Medic into a corner, in hopes that he/she will die and a flanker will be able to get a free shot or a critical hit on the Medic, thus turning the stalemate stalemate stalemate stalemate stalemate stalemate stalemate stalemate stalemate.
im an atheist so if god would ask me i would say no
