#1 Kaidus' Rollout Workshop - June 22nd 19BST/14EDT in Mentoring

Next one will be this saturday at 20cest/19bst/14edt, focusing on snakewater.

Hey gang,

I've been toying with this idea for a while now and decided to go ahead with it. Starting tomorrow night at 19BST I will be doing a weekly workshop to discuss rollouts for various maps. I will focus on one map per week in what I predict will be a show lasting roughly 1 hour. The first segment will be a straight-forward tutorial where I go over a particular map's demoman rollout(s) in depth, while the second segment will involve a Q&A in which I will attempt to aid people fixing the specific problems they have with that episodes rollouts.

Part of the Q&A segment will involve me looking at viewer-submitted demos that I will critique, so if you'd like me to analyse your rollout then please send me a demo through twitch messages. I can't guarantee I will look at all of the ones sent to me, I will operate on a first-come, first-serve basis. To maximise the chance that I review your rollout, make sure it is easy to find in the demo file. Ideally this will involve a demo recorded exclusively for the purpose of showing me your rollout, rather than a match demo. I will accept match demos but only if a specific tick is provided, and one that is not more than 50000 ticks into the demo.

The first episode will focus on badlands, so tune in Wednesday at 22BST! (23CEST, 17EDT)

mmixup is always looking to put together a team that could win lan

after nine days it was pretty obvious that me at the medic helm would make that a tough possibility

im not sure what else needs to be said, fog youre more than welcome to ask somebody next time instead of making a pointless thread

#71 The Unpopular Opinion in TF2 General Discussion

I really don't understand the point of this cl2, all unlocks 6s experiment. Valves biggest beef with 6v6 is that it has cookie cutter class line-ups that rule-out certain players due to their class preference. This new 6s mode is still going to be blighted by this - sure there will be a bit more variety but ultimately spys playing pubs won't suddenly be able to go add to a 6s pickup, which is really valves biggest problem with tf2 (even if they called it out as stale and that's the thing everyone has chosen to pickup on).

#36 Dear TF2 Community in TF2 General Discussion

Both sides give as good as they get, and it's fucking pathetic. I'm honestly embarrassed.

Speaking completely objectively I wish that tftv had gotten the contract and could bring vtv in to help them, as I see it as the far bigger brand in tf2 at the moment and likely to bring in a larger viewerbase (eg. i46 a shit tonne of yanks preferred to watch DIY casts by seanbud and co rather than VTV). Things are the way they are though and I hope you all grow the fuck up - VTV and EU-tftv.

Allealmana- TF.TV's fundraiser to send High Rollers Gaming TF2 to i49; at the moment, the fundraiser is at $7,119 out of $10,800 to reach its goal, with ~20 days left. http://i49.tf
ouch. I'd hoped we would be closer by now :\. is it possible to extend the fundraiser?

Eh, I'm pretty sure the showmatches last year would fetch a 4 figure sum of donations a piece. Really you don't have anything to worry about.

I have a similar problem but I'm pretty sure it's cause I use pointer precision. Either way I feel your pain, hope you find a fix.

frknkaidusEggy i49 wasn't that huge for the american scene. please reconsider ;_;
+1 to harbleus points, but just to add something. It didn't do much for the NA scene, but the NA scene didn't actually raise a fair portion of that money. Everything has extvs name plastered all over it, sure, but I'm fairly sure the eu community donated just as much (if not more due to a few wealthy lunatics). The american scene alone did not and cannot raise that kind of money, certainly not for something less than the biggest spectacle of the TF2 year.
While I'm well aware we had help from other countries, I'm pretty sure we donated more than "a fair portion" of it. Especially since Sal himself spent like 5+ grand or something that never got paid back at all. I think either gaben or robin walker donated a fair amount too.

But yes, no scene is capable of raising 20 grand as we couldn't do it combined without Sal

My point is just that it was a far more unified effort than is often put across, so to do any fund raising for a single continent and expect anything near the same sum (even without the hefty amount sal put in) is completely deluded.

Americas still the man don't worry.
