deadmau5why do people say without lan theres no reason/incentive to get better at the game, ETF2L doesnt have a lan at the end of each season afaik and they still kicked mix^/hrg's asses
That was the result of being thoroughly humiliated the year before. Having no seasonal LAN gets you roughly to i46.
hookyBurnDLThe viewers won't notice the difference between ESEA LAN finals and CEVO online finals.seanbud...LAN is how we actually get new players into TF2.
Also: by your logic, ETF2L doesn't exist, since EU TF2 doesn't have a LAN every season which means literally no one is playing.
For the last 2-3 years the NA tf2 scene has shit over the EU scene, and ESEA is the reason why. Since sponsors lost interest, EU has one LAN a year and if it weren't for the fact that yanks came then I don't even know if that would cut it anymore either. If we hadn't been so completely and utterly humiliated at i46 then I dare not think where our scene would be now. It's been 2 and a half years since top EU teams came together without international attendance, and since at i49 we got over the humiliation from the year before, the EU scene is now in a state where the best team can play 1 night a week (or less) and still be convincingly the best. Having a seasonal lan has pretty much safe guarded you up to this point from this sort of thing happened. Suppose this season had been the first there was no LAN, mixup would have fucked off and you would have IT shitting on everyone without breaking a sweat. I really don't know how you can say not having a LAN doesn't matter, when 1 of the 2 teams that keeps your scene interesting has openly said they would not be here without that LAN.
On a phone, sorry for awful typings.
For god sake stay with ESEA.
Watched it back now. Definitely isn't as bad as people are making out, seems more salty with personal agenda than "real talk" but definitely adds some flavour to things. If the right balance was struck it would have been my favourite cast of the season.
I just had no idea what was going on. I assumed ipz was joking when he said I played like shit cause we are chums but the general atmosphere was awkward so I was a bit confused, didn't really realise till I read this thread that that sort of thing was going on all cast.
I'm quite sure they already said it would all be possible just requires them to bother.
Protip: They won't bother.
Good luck nadir, he deserved his shot. I'm sad he didn't get it as demo but hopefully this will open more doors for him in the future if he so chooses.
Do rev decerto. dis lego isn't happening anyway.
What I felt TF2 streams always lacked was habit. I could never make a habit of watching TF2 streams cause there's only 2-3 hours a day per scene of good content. Every now and then a streamer will pop-up who's there every day for 6 hours for a few weeks, but aside those periods it really is 20-23cet (and whatever the NA equivalent is) and that's not even every day. If there was good streams from 4pm-midnight I'd probably have tf2 streams on most of the day even if they don't have my full focus, but since it's so sporadic what actually happens is I assume there's shit all worth watching so I watch nothing, and never notice when someone/thing good goes live. Take right now for example - the only name I even recognise is numlocked who is playing league of legends.
Also there's a piss-poor amount of top players/teams streaming their PCWs - and I mean TOP players, the household names, not just a random prem player. 2nuts is about the only player from a top team I can think of who streams regularly and it looks like dog turd cause his internet isn't really up to it.
djc sounds different to how i remember
20 minute halves, win limit 6
See you there?
