#4 1080p b4nny in The Dumpster

He could honestly also use a higher pixel density 4:3 resolution for the same game-play feel but better looking for the stream sake, this also would not impact fps as tf2 is cpu intensive and afaik b4nny has a rather competent machine so his frame rate likely would not change at all.

These resolutions can be added using custom resolution utility or by creating a custom resolution within Nvidia control panel.

For example:
For 1080p looking visuals -
1440x1080 (4:3) which has a very similar image fidelity to 1920x1080 (16:9), or
For 1440p looking visuals -
1920x1440 (4:3) which has a very similar image fidelity to 2560x1440 (16:9).

I understand a lot of people are very adamant to keep this map in rotation, could you tell me why?, i'm just curious as to why so many people wish to keep this map in, ty.

#9 dm servers dead in TF2 General Discussion
StylaxSpennyF, it’s quite sad. Mine are backup they weren’t affected by the burns at the OVH Datacenter, the VM just crashed due to an update.
Yo, could you put some extra maps into your servers por favor?

Reckoner for example. In NA they have Turbine and freight and theyre actually not that bad. Better than chokey maps like Gully and Badlands (for DM only, not as maps themselves).

yeah tbh snakewater is so aids when playing scout spam classes can just live on the top and never come down

AimIsADickkbtoAimIsADick (game performance not the player performance) yeah that's smart, something tells me you wouldn't really be able to talk on that either
Ah yes an ad hominem attack.

(I think posting about the guide here was a mistake after all.)

how tf is any of this ad hominem im saying youre unqualified to talk since your most played class is 150 hours on spy?

#31 How to Become a Better Scout Player? in TF2 General Discussion

additionally, 144hz monitors are no where near as expensive as they once where, for example the LG UltraGear 24GN53A is about 160 pounds now, i would also suggest buying a monitor used as its not something like a mouse or keyboard thats constantly man handled, you can save a lot of money, just be sure to actually enable 144hz once you get it, ive heard way to many stories of people buying high refresh rate monitors only to use them at 60 hz

#30 How to Become a Better Scout Player? in TF2 General Discussion
pijackaKevito1do u have 144 hzI dont have 144 hz, I never really plan on becoming an invite lvl player as i have other aspirations. I play on a 60hz gaming laptop from like 2019. I get good frames and stuff but is it just gg without 144 hz?

It's somewhat playable if you are used to it, but once you try going from 144 back to 60 you'll immediately understand what people are on about (impossible).

I found from switching from 60 - 144 - 240 such a massive improvement, it basically is like this:
when you make the switch from 60 to 144 its a massive massive increase, it feels like you're able to receive so much more information, and react so much better. It isn't that a 60hz player can't be better than a 144hz player, after all practice is everything, but i found that on 60hz it's so much more prediction than it is real time reaction and for some people this doesn't bother them but for others it does. its more about reaching full potential, and removing the limiting factors and allowing yourself to effortlessly improve, yes you can play and practice and grind on 60hz at 25fps in the freezing cold with no sound and a trackpad, but why would you do that, remove all the limiting factors so all that matters is practice and nothing else.

TL;DR - get 144hz if you intend on actually reaching your full potential, once you make the switch you will then understand whether making the jump to 240 or 360 is something you will personally value, but 144hz is effectively the bare minimum for improving at really any fps game.

#1 Redbull Gaming Sphere London more info in LAN Discussion

https://www.redbull.com/gb-en/projects/gaming-sphere
Hello, quite a while ago i bought up that red bull was making a gaming sphere in London and that it would be fit for some kind of tf2 event.
I spent over a year playing smash ultimate and went to a lot of London events one of which was hosted weekly at this venue, so i'm here to share some more information.
essentially it is owned by red bull and generates no money, people can visit at any point during it's opening hours and use the facilities, they have a multitude of every type of console along with high power pc's and high refresh rate monitors keyboards mice gaming chairs etc etc, they pretty much have everything, in addition to this, they have capture cards as well as microphones and an entire sound isolated casting booth with cameras set up with capture cards you can link to specific setups outside within the main room, now as far as i am aware the entire venue is non profit or at the very least extremely low profit, you could show up on any day free of charge use anything they had, i used to often go just for practicing smash and i would often see people running their personal twitch streams from the venue using the computers cameras microphones and capture cards they have all kinds of facilities for people to use and I am fairly certain the entire point of this venue is simply for growing the esports culture within london and to a lesser extent the uk and europe.

regardless, I am extremely certain that this venue would be quite good for some form of tf2 event and if not for free it could be ridiculously cheap for an extremely high quality legit setup, so maybe after lockdown, some kind of lan or etf2l finals or something could be played there, i encourage event organisers to look into the venue or maybe contact some of the staff who own it.
