main is going to be the top 4 open teams, all IM playoff teams that dont go to invite, and some invite move down teams. at least thats what killing said on fully charged.

the real medic write-up:
Screws: Screwah was the reason Dango Daikazoku was able to beat Rastlemania in the post-season, and thats a hard fact to ignore. Between his survivability and attention to positioning, he really surprised me with how smart his medic play was around the middle of the season. The combo on Dango made good on opportunities created by Sneaky, where it seemed like Screws was always in the right place at the right time to take advantage of plays. He was a huge part of their success this season, as he demonstrated knowledge of the game that was above the average medic in Open. Hopefully these guys stay together next season, as their dynamic is not a common one and is pretty interesting to watch.

PhaserNot sure why everyone thinks these "super" open teams will automatically come in and dominate.
i agree, a lot of these teams are "scary" at first glance but really its not going to be a big deal. Street Hoops proved during the postseason that if you take shit seriously and practice diligently you can go far.

the season 15 announcement thread:
Increased number of League servers on new hardware to ease scheduling availability
i would hope this means tf2 will be getting additional servers that aren't complete shit, maybe some more chicago/dallas instead of pure east or west coast servers. who knows what that statement really means though.
for killing/kalkin: what are your (or ESEA's) ideal number of teams in each division? (ie 9 teams in invite, 12 teams in main, 30 teams in IM, ~60 teams in open)

nah, london_calling/ques are both better at this than me, and they both have a better mind for the game for sure. I'd be happy to assist them in any way I can, but I don't know that I'm cut out for actual article writing.
at this point we're trying to figure out who is going to be writing for esea and if we're even going to continue with a separate set of rankings on tf.tv. i would say, owl, that doing these kinds of write ups are a little premature before the inevitable registration extension but are still a lot of fun.

surprised the fuck out of me when these guys came out of nowhere and put up some great games. paragon is a goddamn magician on sniper and deadbolt has a good mix of solid DM and good positioning.
if they stay together and improve through this next season in main i see this team doing well. right now theres still some room for improvement (isnt there always) but with the right combo they can do some work.
