KillingHow are tf2 players so fucking terrible at staying together for more than one season? It never ceased to boggle my mind. Everyone is just certain they are better than their entire team somehow.

Friendly reminder for those IM teams hijacking rosters this season, Taken from the ESEA Rules section;
For divisions above Open, excluding Invite, for a team's spot to be maintained once the regular season begins, a team must use 2 players per match who participated during the prior season (through playing a match) in 3 out of the first 4 matches played (i.e. not including forfeits) of the season. Failure to do so will result in the team being removed from the League and any matches played after the 4 match probation period will be overturned.
as someone whose played at an elite level in rugby, I can firmly say that in any sport/eSport you need to be gifted and work hard to get better.
Never played with another fellow international teammate who was simply gifted, or simply talented, both are required to compete at the highest level of play and that's why the skill ceiling for high level play in anything is a low % of the total pool of players. Not everyone can achieve both of these things, I've played with some really really hard working rugby players in my life but they will never be remotely as good as some people if they don't have the natural skills to go along with it, and this most DEFINITELY applies to video games as well.
As clockwork stated before, some people are gifted in certain ways that aren't necessarily as valuable overall, but they can fill specific roles or niches that a team needs in very specific situations, but true star players in spots and in games are 100% naturally gifted and hard working.
That being said, natural talent can only take you so far, something I learned through my time playing international level rugby too, there comes a time where there will ALWAYS be someone that wants it more than you do, and they are the superior talent.
Well deserved, good luck to these guys turning heads this season.
mustardoverlordI do think dog2 is overall the best choice tho
breaking it down:
experience together- dog2 prevails
main calling- dog2 is better
rosters:
sureshot and hellbent are SIGNIFICANTLY better than froot and rolling, that's uncharted's biggest advantage
ex and blues are overall better than mu and split
mausy and mae are really close, mausy has the invite experience but mae is improving really quickly and could be better by the end of the season
cookiejake is better than luc
it basically comes down to if you think froot on pocket is enough of a dumpster fire to negate the rest of the stuff in dog2's favor, which I don't
can you actually just go away with this biased dogshit everyone knows you have a hard on for hating me so just fuck off and die in your basement already
tbh if you think pre season scrims mean anything at all you're delusional
fact of the matter is, uncharted and dog2 both have very good upsides going into the division in there own way. dog2 has a full on new blood roster with very high potential, will be good to see them give it a shot, they are a very explosive team and everyone on the team are beauties.
Would like to see this map replace metal/granary in the ESEA season, Even at this point the map has a lot more potential to be better than those maps. I think its a nice change in terms of being a map thats really rewarding for aggressive pushes, pretty much every map in rotation right now is very easy to hold in most areas and are very stalematey. I feel like reckoner is very different in that sense that its a really good map to just coordinate pushes/dry pushes and be aggressive for most of the map.
Not to mention its a really really pretty map
I actually used to play titanfall with surefour along with past TF2 players like REP, TecH etc, from playing with him before pretty positive he doesn't cheat just another clockwork type aimer tbh, hes also been to quite a few LANs for other games if I remember correctly, never heard anyone accusing him before.
still possible I guess
Dark7SkyRanger-TSARBUXtri_HeyGuys, we'll be running the invite poll tomorrow. After that's settled we'll look at the number of open teams and moveups.
So where will the results be posted? Here? ESEA's website? Both?
https://play.esea.net/index.php?s=league&d=standings&division_id=2683
No froyoblack in invite :(
full invite teams won't be confirmed until the poll is completed.
Dark7They' re playing open?
https://play.esea.net/teams/74241
the roster has just been moved down from invite, they aren't playing
SpadesI say give it more time.
There's always worry, every single season.
And we come through, every single season.
Meanwhile, Bote team is looking to set sail.

there is a new league manager for esea this season, he won't run it the same as past seasons.
Hey all, we have put together a roster for season 22 and will be in the invite poll coming up, so not sure what div will we end in. We need backups on all classes, preferably high IM players and over but just add me and we can work something out!
roster:
Medic: lucrative
Pocket: SureShot
Roamer: Hellbent
Demo: mausy
Scouts: split_, mu

I just want everyone to know ictus' comments don't reflect the attitude of our team as a whole, we were happy to play these guys for some fun last night and we are fully aware that pre season scrims (especially a veteran group like this) don't mean anything.
Really happy to see these players returning and making an exciting team
EDIT: ictus isnt on our team anymore
really good demo, if you're trying to win IM this season would be silly not to get him, chill dude as well.
