#7 Multiplayer games to play when off tf2? in Other Games

TITANFALL!

#42 Froyotech = Death of tf2? in TF2 General Discussion

there have ALWAYS been super teams throughout the entirety of competitive TF2, even when CEVO-P was still big. Competition for these teams come and go, it always has, superteams don't have anything to do with stunting TF2 growth.

mmid is a super duper disaster

just mirror the silos or something

Don't just tell him it's a disaster because it's a disaster, offer up some actual critisism and tell him what about it isn't going to work, someone is trying to put work into a map everyone loathes (not sure why) and trying to make it better. Help him help you!!

#29 is it ok to play comp at a young age? in Q/A Help

Most of the time, I find young players really aren't open to criticism, and often times that will ether a) Stunt their improvement in the game or b) give them an insanely bad rep they can't come back from. My best advice to you as a young player coming into the competitive scene, Be humble and get into the mindset that there are lots of people out there who know better and you can learn a lot from. Once you feel comfortable with your own game knowledge and skill, then you can go on to find your own identity as a player and hopefully move up however far you want to go! (with the right attitude of course)

TL;DR Attitude is everything

#18 Titanfall Season Pass free in Other Games
PheeshI'm not sure how that's possible zig, never experienced that unless you're on an empty server.

But CTF = best mode...it takes advantage of all the skimming/bhopping/movement aspects and focuses the action around those goals. Even if the queue is only ~30 people it seems to do a good job of getting you in a game recently. (that definitely hasn't been the case before they modified their matchmaking).

You can gain speed by using stim+ quickly chaining wallruns and then maintain speed by bunnyhopping. Pretty fun...but honestly the titans are so OP in the hands of good players it makes it less fun at higher levels...game slows down once people get titans on an organized team and the whole battle becomes over titan superiority which is less interesting. I wish they weren't quite so powerful because the game really shines when its focused on the pilot gameplay.

Just squish the titans with warpfall transmitter, ez pz

xattuuSplitYeah I apologize, although we weren't really playing for the last few weeks we didn't plan on forfeiting for those final two matches. Tried to get people together but some were offline, hell we were planning to play yesterday but apparently ex is on vacation already.
All good, was really looking forward to the match, would have been a fun one! A shame we didn't get a rematch ( hopefully without any issues and controversy this time ;D). GL next season! :)

you realize everyone knows you're the most un-genuine person ever, right?

#17 My friend is suicidal and i feel powerless. in Off Topic

Think this has probably been said 100 times on this forum in threads like these...

Not to sound like an ass, but this really isn't the place you want to be going to get advice on an issue as serious as this. If you really do fear for his life, best thing to do is tell his loved ones, (maybe even yours if you guys are close) and get them to help you, or actually have him admitted for psychiatric help (although, he will be resistant). Most people on these forums are not professionals in this area and cannot offer you advice that's seriously going to help you or him besides the occasional "offer him your support" (Which is great and all, but In some cases, it really isn't enough) I've lost loved ones and had some close calls with others and the best thing to do is be swift and aggressive about getting them help, being passive is dangerous when some people are essentially on a timer.

#13 scrim concept in TF2 General Discussion

(This may not be totally related to this thread but I'm gonna post here anyways)

Teams (atleast in the IM bracket) really need to go back to looking for scrims on IRC...the idea of scheduling all your games is nice but overall people play less games and when 1 team flakes out or is late, it throws off the schedule of a lot of teams involved resulting even less play time or possibly no games at all because every other team is "booked." Personally, I've scheduled scrims for the whole week, a week in advance, and teams STILL flake out and leave my team (or possibly others) without a game unless we want to play a low open team. If everyone went back to just posting in IRC when they need games, teams would get more games overall and prolly more consistent games cause of the "let's play right now" factor, making it extremely less likely for people to flake out on scrims. This is possibly just my experience with the system now but I feel like practicing was a lot better/easier when you could just get games on IRC right then and there whenever you needed

#21 Give me casting feedback in TF2 General Discussion
BUICK.

Something that pisses me off is shit like this:

http://i.imgur.com/SJwtM8Z.png

What the fuck is that? It's like a running joke or something, I mean I know this community adores mob mentality in regards to hating people but that's the kind of shit no one deserves to see, let alone someone donating tonnes of their time to keeping as much high-level TF2 in the limelight as possible. I wouldn't just call this out if it was a funny one-time troll but people seem to get off on hating you. Please dear god, do not take that rubbish to heart.

just typical TF2 brainwashed bandwagon action, wouldn't worry about it.

#20 Give me casting feedback in TF2 General Discussion

In general, I think the only caster who is hypey enough is gecks (besides cbear) and I really feel like most casters undervalue this quality. if you get hyped up for big frags, multi kills or whatever, it will get the viewers hooked into the game instantly. I've even found myself reacting in my chair with a big "WHOAAA" if the caster is making it exciting, If they are talking like they're narrating its really hard to get into it or stay focused on the game.

That being said, I think casts really need a little bit of a play by play hype caster and just 1 analyst to chime in during a bit of the downtime, the play by play caster should be doing 70% of the casting IMO.
