#7 Add esea.net profile link to user profile page. in Site Discussion
BenroadsZippyshare is a fairly good filehosting site, not sure how much strain it would put on the tf.tv servers to have tons of players upload their stuff directly to the site.

That's not really the problem as much as figuring out a good way to design the UI for it.

enigma's been meaning to revise the profile section some time. We're also trying to figure out how to best implement configs.

As for class/teams, that might be better suited for the wiki, at least that's my thought on it at the moment. We'll definitely see, as something like that would be nice to have in a profile section, I agree.

#15 Recent Invite STV Demos in TF2 General Discussion
eXtineESEA demo's delete after one month. I saved every game from one of the previous invite seasons, but haven't bothered for the last two. Lemme look real quick, and I'll post too....

That'd be great. I'm going to look into getting it hosted here, too. So basically, the only season that isn't officially covered by people in this thread is s12 (which I may have? Don't know for sure).

potairline tickets would not cost $1400 each

If you have any connections to get them reduced, please let me or enigma know.

#152 SKILL_ENHANCER in Mentoring
mustardoverlordI don't mean to suggest that it's impossible for a relatively lower-level player to give accurate feedback, I just think it's dumb that the protection of an alt allows someone who otherwise wouldn't be taken seriously to have some level of importance

if people really had balls they'd rate people on their main account, but no one other than like plat has done that

Sure, but I think your opinion is a bit misguided. If you're like me (and, I think, like most people in this thread, I THINK), you're just looking for a way to get better, from any and all perspectives. That's what makes an alt account so interesting and valuable. I don't think most open players have reliable mentors, but they're definitely looking for them, most likely.

And the anonymity allows for mistakes; one errant mistake, and you'll be branded for a long time.

EDIT: missed an 'and'

Alright, I'll upload all of my s13 renamed demos in one zip/rar tonight.

It really isn't; I went into Open very shortly after starting competitive, and while I'm okay with doing it (since the money wasn't a problem for me), we were crushed almost every match and we ended up forfeiting a lot of them due to technical issues. The pressure is really on the line, even if it's "just Open". I would start scrimming low-mid open teams (and occasionally a high open team) to see where you are in terms of Open.

Mr_OwlmanaWow, how many open/non-invite players do you know? I'm definitely curious, though if you haven't seen me recently I've changed quite a bit from s13.
This is what gets me. It's gotta be someone in Open, right? He's given pretty specific advice that really matches what I've seen from players (alfunkso, gek, and a number of others have been totally spot-on). I dunno, I was just kind of under the assumption that we were all pretty anonymous to people outside of open.

The Open Illuminati strikes again.

Yeah, I'm wondering if I should get my teammates in on this, as they don't participate here and stuff. Haha.

GigaAre we going to have any showmatches for hype purposes?

We're not sure yet. But if we do, it'd be after 4/20 LAN, so we know who it is. We'll take suggestions, too. :)

EDIT: Also, we don't want to butt heads with the Tip of the Hat charity.

#155 The 120Hz Monitor Thread in Hardware
YankeeDoes anyone know if it's possible to find a 17-19 inch 120hz monitor? I've been using a 17 inch gaming laptop for the last three years, and I'm so used to a 17.3 inch monitor that I'd rather just stay with the same size when I eventually build a rig (desk space is also a concern). I've searched a lot, but haven't been able to find anything.

You're right, doesn't look like there are any sub-20 in. 120hz, just off of a cursory Amazon search. And the only 20 in I found was an Acer. :(

I was about to recommend a CRT but that's definitely not for the space-conscious.

Within one day we had 1k.

We have 2k, one day later.

You guys are ridiculous. Keep it up. 3 out of the 5 BEST BENEFACTOR perks have already been claimed. If no one is claiming the MASTERMIND perk, don't worry about it; I'll adjust the limits so that there are more BEST BENEFACTOR perks and less MASTERMIND ones.

Keep spreading the word to your friends and foes!

If it would be helpful, I can upload all of the season demos that are renamed. The ESEA names are really not that informative. Also, then you can download everything at once.

Buttnosedonated

Kinda wish the scope of the prizes was a bit bigger tho, would be nice to see an awkward lunch/dinner with the team that gets sent over for $500/something crazy for $1k. We saw some pretty big individual donations last time didn't we? (Robinwalker?)

CALLING SHITWIZARD 2013

We can add perks later, so, there's still that possibility (I was definitely thinking about adding it, but given that we don't know who's going yet, I can't just add any perk).

atmoIf you'd like to suggest a prefix xyz.i49.tf for the indiegogo I can add that, too

Yes! I would like igg.i49.tf. Although, do you think it would be better if "i49.tf" would go to the Indiegogo instead? Either way is fine with me.

Thank you very much.

Indiegogo also has a short link but it's not nearly as nice: http://igg.me/at/tf2i49
