The man could've typed it into Google and found that one person who's selling one as the first result. It's not as if there's no listings for it, in which case I would've understood having to ask around to find out how to track down an unusual, but it's like, right there.

I don't think Valve was ever really about following trends or whatever, they seem pretty out of touch. They're the type of company to just do whatever they like and if something's popular it makes no difference to them. TF2's chance of being taken seriously as an esport died when it gained a reputation for being nothing more than a hat simulator, imo. I do wish my cousin would stop telling me about how Fortnite is better than TF2 while he sits there playing it for 10 hours a day and begging people to buy skins for him, though.

Has it been years already? Seems like Palm Desert had the highest just recently.

Not play, but have launched the game at least once. There's a ridiculous amount of people who will open a game and then never play it either because their PC can't run it or they're just not interested. Like compare the % of people who get the easiest and most popular achievement for a game with total owners and it ends up coming to like 60% or something most of the time. So 50 million people owning TF2 isn't that big a deal since half of them have probably never played an actual game of it, and the game is also 11 years old and one of the most popular f2p games of all time.

Last year there weren't even any primetime scheduled TF2 events, all the TF2 related stuff was in weird morning/afternoon timeslots so they could stream Overwatch and PUBG during the 7~10 EST hours. Hopefully it won't be as bad this year, but my hopes aren't that high.

Basically you want to ban people just because you personally do not like them and not because they've broken any rules. Gotcha. This is exactly why kids who are still in middle school aren't allowed to be admin anywhere relevant.

Is there going to be some sort of stream schedule posted so people who don't obsessively watch every time you stream know when the perks are going to be fulfilled?

This is the weirdest overreaction ever. All I did was offer my opinion. I would not be willing to pay for the "privilege" of being datamined, and according to the survey, it seems most other people wouldn't as well. I'm also not willing to use a config created by someone who wants people to pay them to be datamined. That goes far above and beyond what I would expect from what should be a simple graphics config. The only one trying to make this a " controversy" appears to be you.

I don't mind offering one-time donations to people who put in effort toward providing services for this dead game that even the devs don't care about anymore, but offering a subscription service for a "premium" version of a config just seems awful silly to me. There's also some questionable things like you discouraging individualistic fine-tuning of your config, the fact that you expect me to read all that text above this post, etc. I don't think providing a custom config is a service for this game that's worth subscribing to, personally. If you were to ask for a donation of maybe a key or a couple of bucks, I'd be down with that. Subscribing just doesn't seem like a logical choice to make in this situation. The fact that you'd offer it kind of actually makes me not even want to use your config even for free.

Probably tired of going to international LAN events, which I can't really blame them for given that the cost of getting the entire team there is well over what the first place prize would be.
