Budget is ~AU$1300, with a little flexibility. He mainly plays tf2 but also wants to be able to play new triple A games at reasonable framerates etc.

The graphics card is a nice deal I found on ozbargain from amazon uk (https://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00XKS2MR8/ozba-21) and I double checked the price conversion myself today so it should be fairly accurate. He likes the look of that case and needs an optical drive to play old cd games etc. Probably doesn't need more than 1tb of storage because right now on his potato he's using 300 GB, and that's without an ssd.

He lives out in this sticks in nsw so really has to have the parts shipped from somewhere. We were looking at getting the bulk of it from newegg but it looks to be cheaper to just get everything bar the graphics card from pccasegear.

Just wanted to double check it with you here before he buys it, Setsul, because you were so helpful before when I was building my pc. Any help would be appreciated.

#18 For the casters - Suggestions in TF2 General Discussion
dashnercamperand please use a cheat feed i'm sure most of the viewers care more about catching sick plays rather than crowd reactions at lan
I'm not sure where this ridiculous rumor came from that we're doing this for crowd reactions at LAN. We're doing this to get live player reactions at the event synced up properly with what's happening in-game. What was the last LAN event outside TF2 that you've heard of that uses STV/GOTV delay?

As I mentioned in a previous thread, you clearly did not watch DHS if you think our way doesn't work.

The DHS cast missed a _lot_ of big plays though. You guys still got quite a few, and clearly you did well considering you weren't using the cheat feed, but even if you caught a third of the airshots that you would have with cheat feed that still brings the quality of the entire game right down, from a viewer's perspective.

Live player reactions is really not a major consideration at insomnia, it's not like it's a major where the players are up in front of a crowd of >10k. I personally think that the cheat feed should be used for all games where the players aren't on stage.

Use the tomislav for mid-range and further, and stock for close range.

#59 more Overwatch bans in Esports
the301stspartan#26 Pls find a scenario where what you say is actually true and a year-ban has any benefit over a permaban.

There would have to be a cheater who gets a year ban, actually repents and patiently follows the game for a year without buying an alt to start playing legit again after the ban expires.

This is not a realistic scenario imo.

Happens all the time competitively.

I have multiple relatively young friends who got caught cheating and banned from ozfortress for a year or two before I knew them and they're now just normal members of the community like anyone else. That's part of the reason why I personally don't support hardware id bans.

That said, it's overwatch. Out of all the games to not be able to play, that's a pretty good one imo.

He's a salesman. He's sold himself to the idiots of america, and clearly there are a lot of them.

avaiihnI do think that if he gets elected we'll see an almost immediate shift to a much more professional, rational, and logical approach.

hahahahahahahahaha

Bonus Stretch Goal: $1,000,000 - I, James '2GD' Harding will get a tattoo of Gabe Newell dressed as a shitty wizard riding the donkey courier with an icey frog perched upon the donkey's head. Below the tagline 'bUrself'. Tattoo location, up for a vote. left or right buttock.

this could look a lot nicer if you used lawena to render the frags though, but they were definitely good highlights

#82 TF2 update for 7/28/16 in TF2 General Discussion
AndKennethYeah, I got Singapore servers twice when trying to queue and I haven't played TF2 since. I was hoping to have some fun in matchmaking after putting down the game competitively but it's just nowhere near as smooth of a process of playing some overwatch or something like rocket league.

bitch we're literally playing against you this week, you haven't quit :x

#11 TF2 player profiles in TF2 General Discussion
TomFor example in the csgo ones they did tarik recently, who neither plays on a top tier team nor been around as long as some players. According to liquidpedia he has only been active in the pro scene for 2-3 years.

Tarik was on CLG who was a legendary team for that major

this idea is nice and all but it's only done in conjunction with valve majors so
