I've shown my code to my friends taking comp sci classes in other unis and they've never even heard of it. It's just really math oriented and super constrictive. There's not much to do with it; it's just a simple language to learn the fundamentals of programming with.

TIL scheme is a common-ish intro level language. I thought my uni was just dumb.
I might not be able to help you though, especially if this is anything above, like, entry-level scheme. My midterm is in 30 minutes and I'm not feeling exceptionally confident. Plus curriculum are different and stuff. You could probably find somebody who could solve your problem in less than like an hour lol.
Also do you have any office hours or help sessions to go to? Those help me immensely.
frknBolsheviki live in southern indiana, and if someone from abroad were to visit my area and my area only they would simply see the u. s. of a. as a homophobic, conservative, "jeezuz luvin gun totin" sort of country. a lot of the stereotypes come from areas like mine. But do people from abroad actually visit Southern Indiana? lol
A handful of foreign exchange students got stuck in my high school every year. The ones who were even semi outgoing (which was most of them) got tons of friends and become the most popular kids in the class. Then again, I basically pretended that the walking stereotypes in my school didn't exist so if anybody gave them shit I didn't pay attention to it. Pretty sure in general, though, our high school loved foreign exchange students. Especially the ones from Germany.
I just made it so there are like no plays but I just dumped every artist in my music library and youtube favorites list and then picked out some recommended artists. I like a huge variety of stuff but I feel like I need to up my rap/electronic game. Any suggestions?
I feel you. My wifi connection sucks and I live in the basement of an apartment so it straight up dies more often than I would like. I've been playing osu! and stray roguelikes to kill time when it happens but I'm shit at osu so I usually just play a roguelike.
My favorite roguelike to play is Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup, but Dungeons of Dredmor is on steam and it's pretty fun too. Really good beginner's roguelike too. Not worth the price of admission, so definitely wait for a sale, but still a fun game. Feel free to look either of those up.
Aside from those, that Robot Unicorn Attack game on adult swim is more fun than I'd like it to be. I haven't played it in a while but I binged on it when I was a teacher's assistant in high school for a teacher who let me on his computer every day.
fathomIf anyone is interested in learning, I can get you started out with the basics, movement, and all that!
I was hoping to see either your or useoftoaster post. Are you better or worse than you were in this vid?
When I hopped on I was getting bodied by a bunch of platinum and intermediate players, but I still had fun.
@ckap: would be fun :)
I haven't clicked every link in here but I haven't seen El Michels Affair mentioned.

Instrumentals of a number of songs from Wu Tang's 36 chambers album.
I had some friends in orchestra, and two of them were first chairs and section leaders. One was cello and I can't remember the other. Anyway they both complained about how lazy everybody was and how much they sucked.
So I guess you're screwed? Apparently something about orchestra kids makes them lazy beyond belief.
Yankeeso does bo burnham not make boring comedy songs anymore?
so the tf.tv community just hates everything good now? alright that's cool, carry on with your shenanigans.

gr8stalinEven putting "raise your dongers" in context to the game doesn't make any sense. It's not a cheer, it's not a jeer, it's not a proper exclamation - it's just some stupid infectious league of legends in-joke.
I wasn't watching this live unfortunately, but from I saw in the screenshot, people weren't saying "raise your dongers," they were saying "raise your pauses." So I'm guessing there was a pause, so it's not like they were interrupting anything. Just filling the gap that a pause leaves. And of course using "pauses" instead of "dongers" in the context of a pause happening just means that it's being made relevant to tf2.
It's literally just people having fun. What the fuck else should the chat be doing during a pause? If this was going down during actual gameplay and some idiots were spamming "raise your airshots" or stupid then I can see how it could be irritating.
If you're interested in exploring the darker side of humanity, check out The Lucifer Effect by Philip Zimbardo. To my knowledge it's pretty standard literature but you should give it a read if you haven't already. Basically it's all about analysis the capacity for evil in humans. The first half of the book [give or take] is the account and analysis of the (in)famous Stanford Prison Experiment, conducted and recounted by Zimbardo himself.
I usually don't love literature that covers atrocities in history in excruciating detail; I tend to find them huge downers and don't really learn much from them. There's so much to take away from this book though. It's less about what happened and more about why it happened. Utterly captivating.
