N1ghTHow do you get "Q" to get the backpack/loadout page to go back?
In resource/ui/charinfopanel.res, find "BackButton", inside the "labelText" value, add &Q to it. So:
"labelText" "&Q Back"

FozzlmApologies if this has already been answered, but when I join an online server the backpack/ item panel UI seems to change to a warped version of the stock HUD and for the life of me I cannot work out how to fix this, any help would be incredibly appreciated: http://i.imgur.com/tFsR1nJ.jpg
In resource/clientscheme.res, is "BackpackItemBorder" and it's subsidiaries using a custom vtf?
STOGEHow would I go about changing the text highlight color when you mouse over things in the main menu?
Find the buttons you want to edit, find "armedFgColor_override"
Mr_Harvardguess none of my 35 huds made the cut rip
Don't feel too bad, none of Colly's 27,000 huds made it either
KanecoIsn't 1 month kind of a short span to make a fully functional hud from scratch??
I made this fully functional in a few hours. I mean yeah, I know what files to edit and how, but a month is a long time to move some things around that are already placed in a file to begin with. I think that's a fair amount of time.
However, if there are concerns with a month being too short a time span, I'll extend it. We'll see how submissions go.
noto isn't even on there
go away :(
It's in resource/ui/mainmenuoverride.res, mostly likely under "TopLeftDataPanel", or more specifically "WelcomeLabel"
In the future, any more questions you may have should be directed to the HUD editing: short questions, quick answers thread. It's not perfect, but it's there to stop the forums being weighed down with a bunch of question threads.
Mr_Harvardomnijust dont pull a snoden and pocket the donations for the giveaway that you getMr_HarvardGood job omni on finally implementing the idea
Took me long enough, guarantee I've fucked up somewhere though.
I'm going to pocket my own keys because I donated them to me B)

Suppose I should throw this here as well, kinda forgot.
Howdy! Here's a huds.tf contest about HUDs! Develop a HUD from scratch and maybe win some prizes if you're good enough! Boy oh boy. Get ready for the worst selling of a contest ever because I am a terrible marketer. Let's go!
The contest is themed around the in-game UI, which covers the Health, Ammo, Killstreaks and so on. Basically, everything you see while playing the game.
Now, no contest is worth doing without prizes. You all want something for contributing, I'm sure of it. Let's do that then. But while we do that, let's explain how to get involved.
If you want to get fully involved in the contest, all you need to do is design and implement a working HUD in TF2 by May 31st. The full specifics can be found on the huds.tf thread. After the cut off date, an open, community vote will be running, in which, as the name suggests, the community will vote on their favorite submission.
The first place winner will receive 15 keys!
Second place receives 10 keys
Third place receives 5 keys
That's a decent payout if I may say so myself.
But that's not it! Voters get a chance to win too! By voting, you are automatically entered into a raffle to win 5 keys. Winning for doing nothing except voting for a nice looking HUD? What a world.
Everything else you need to know is on the huds.tf thread. You can sign up to the forums using Steam, so it's not too much hassle to get yourselves involved.
I can answer any questions here or on huds.tf.
Cheers!

If this were r/tf2 I'm sure you'd have gotten an upvote.
But it's not.
