I had some weird stuff too after I went to steampipe. In a scrim on blands all the glass textures were missing and were replaced by what i assume is the wireframe for the windows (white border with a white x through it), and then on snakewater, a bunch of things were wireframe, including the crane above second, which actually looked cool as hell. It was weird.

When I want to pug scrim I just hit up people on my friends list till I have 6, but a group for it would work just as well, I guess

absolute cleanup monster on scout

WPJ was impossibly helpful in getting me prepared for comp TF2 and did an excellent job in mentoring the team I was on. He's a damn good demoman and has a ridiculous knowledge of the game.

I'm begging an IM team to pick him up because quite frankly I have no interest in trying to match up with him in open next season. He needs to be in IM.

People who say that racist/homophobic people are a laughable minority are unfortunately very, very wrong. I live in Indiana and deal with racists and homophobes every single day. Hell, I work with some (and that's not something I'm proud of as a middle school teacher). I know from personal experience that there are hotbeds of bigotry all around the country.

Bigotry is still a very serious problem in this country, and marginalizing it because you personally don't deal with it is pretty dumb. There are just some words that are not respectful. People have different limits when it comes to those words, and I would hope that most of the people in this community are intelligent enough to not use potentially disrespectful language when talking with people whose background they don't know. If nobody in your mumble objects to you using coarse language, then whatever, go for it. Just know that there are plenty of people out there who will have less respect for you because of it (and I know that you don't care about earning the respect of random strangers on the internet).

If you want to continue to do this in the future you should:

It's a negligible FPS loss and since you're just recording instead of streaming it's super easy. Just set OBS to only pick up sounds from Mumble and TF2 so if you listen to music or whatever that's not in there too. At that point you can just upload whatever format OBS spits out (.avi I think?) to YT.

As for past demos, you could actually do the same thing by loading the POV into TF2, syncing the mumble comms ahead of time and then recording the demo and the audio from mumble (playing from your media player of choice) and just recording those two programs with OBS. In that case the only program you'd need is OBS, which is free and super easy to use. Saves you the trouble of dealing with Lawena/Vegas/Fraps/etc.
