no problem :P
Hi I'm park and I decided I'd put up this thread looking for a low-open team for S19. I've been playing newbie mixes since they were revived about a year ago and pocketed on No es Falco in UGC Steel 6s S17. I would call myself low-open @ best, and want to be at least low-mid open by the end of the season. I would REALLY prefer to play roamer but will pocket if you really need it pretty gosh-darn badly. I'm looking for a team of chill, non-toxic people that want to improve and will review demos and the like together. I try to be as open to criticism as I can. I would like to scrim Monday-Thursday roughly 9:30 - 11:30/12:00 EST, this could change.
A few specific things I need to work on are midfights, comms, watching the flank, dm, my jumps could use some work.
I'm in school so if it or family or anything gets in the way of video games I will try to let you know a$ap

this is about to become my new go-to pub
I heard it's on itunes right now, when will it be on spotify omg I NEED this
yo Jackman is a cool guy with some real gaming smarts, and I sometimes get annoyed when I play against him because his dm is so much better than he seems to think it is. He's a nice, chill guy who would turn from a wiz to a genius with a good team.
KutchKutchKanecospammy-ability to cap point regarless of where you're standing (You can cap it while standing on platform or standing underneath it)
My feedback is, don't do this please.
I really dont like this new wave of ultiduo maps following baloo style. The magic and the premise behind the original ultiduo map was that you had to put yourself at a disadvantage to cap the point, which made it much more dynamic and intense.
Imo, baloo plays like ass, but because it's probably the best ultiduo map aesthetically it gets a lot more playtime and cup time than the original map nowadays, but its basically a contest on who can outgay eachother the most for the point.
I understand the main criticisms for baloo like maps but, personally I feel like those maps create a better dynamic between the Solider and Medic. From personal experience as a med, I feel like there is not a lot I can do on maps like koth_ultiduo other than surf from the cp to the bridge above. Where as on more open maps like baloo, I have more options (Surfing to the health pack, behind the cover by the stairs, on the point or behind a pillar). It allows the medic to be more effective and stay alive longer which creates a different play style of maps which I prefer, instead of it being a Soldier dominant meta.
Soldier dominant maps are more fast-paced imo but maybe I'm biased.
I'm turning up the brightness on my phone to get a better look at this, it's much too dark for my taste. Other than that it looks like an interesting map.
funny guy that carries pugs, smart and has strong dm.
literally a god, fun in mumble, chill person in general. you need him on your team don't question it.
you only talked about your dm/jumping and listed no experience other than lobbies against plat roamers. i'm pretty skeptical you're an upper mid range player.
This sounds good. Gonna give the music video a listen when I get home. I've never listened to much of Tyler before, I'll form an opinion once I've given the album a listen.
