lethargisti pray he means cm for the sake of his own wrists
its in inches
you have to see it to believe it
lateral movement is pretty useless if you dont also vary the distance between you and the soldier, since then the only thing he has to think about is whether you'll go left or right
imo one of the most powerful options that a scout is making your time of approach/commitment ambiguous, which doesn't really have to do with lateral movement
baiting inside and outside of the game
did the youtubers get a chance to scrim? iirc didnt the community team during communities vs pros get some form of coaching/scrims before they played, so that they had some inkling of an idea how to push the maps?
being expected to fully understand the topic seems a little vague: do you mean that you are expected to familiarize yourself with what computational biology is and what in general people of computation biology do? that seems most reasonable but i'm not too familiar with what they expect you to be capable of for "high school research"
in any case i can't help with the biology part but computational research is generally done on, you guessed it, computers. if they're putting you in a "lab" to conduct actual research then most likely you'll be sat in front of a computer and have to learn computation, which more or less involves you learning programming/scripting. this is assuming that what you're expected to do is what i think it is.
if it helps heres a biophysics group at my university, and you could read about their research: http://allardlab.com/
they are a mix of physicists, biologists, and mathematicians. the "computation" part is that they try and model certain biological processes mathematically with guiding principles of physics (ie why does a certain biological process occur? what is the entropy of the system, or what are the driving forces, etc). as it turns out most biological process have nontrivial physical dynamics, and in their ridiculous complexity require very powerful computation to do reliable modeling.
it is possible that this is entirely off the mark though; you should elaborate on what this program and what you're expected to do
speaking of hafficool, some surfer trivia:
of the current top 50 tf2 surfers (using resurfed's timer), only phorofor has played invite/prem. clockwork, sparrow, and hafficool are the only other top players to have been on the top 50 at one point.
other notable players currently in the top 50 are stochast1c and evil mrmuffinz
s14 open finals between itallion stallions and street hoops (the first iteration) was the last time an open finals hosted no players with previous experience above open
today, nearly half of those players have played in invite: dingo, arctic joe, paragon, deadbolt, ash
AR is actually the only reason i read harry potter
sry for the bump but i tried streaming for the first time in over a year and i dont see my stream appear on the side
there are a lot of uncomfortable things that theoretical physicists can come up with using quantum mechanics just because of how much mathematical gymnastics can be performed and im not quite sure i understand exactly what it is thats making you uncomfortable here but let me just say this
quantum theory is the most successful scientific theory today. no experiment has yet been shown to be inconsistent with it, as long as you take into account relativity when needed. many modern technologies are based, on some level or another, on quantum mechanics
TheOfficialLunchboxwhen I play on servers where players are better than me, I'm bad.
well technically if im in a server where all the players are better than me then it'd be correct to say that im the worst player lol

blazeitOne more year to go to college, i want to be a physicist. Physics really interests me. Does anyone here know what it is to be a physicist?
if you really want someone here to tell you about it maybe talk to stochast1c. if you can get in contact with a physics professor then that'd be even better
i personally think studying physics is amazing and i'll continue to do it until i feel differently but the chances that you'll remain in academia long enough to become an actual physicist is not very high. a physics student is more likely to make more money with a job outside of physics than staying in academia - the high paying bigshot positions in physics are awarded to the best of the best, of which there are very few.
