Antarespeople complain about nL's slow playstyle but say nothing about full tilt running sniper every chance they get
That's because we're all full tilt fan boys.
But honestly, sniper is not the problem, only a part of it. Current top teams often simply refuse to push even with an advantage, and 6v6 equal ubers a team like nameless will never push. Which is the smart thing to do, but not very interesting to watch, and I can't imagine it being incredibly fun to play either. Spamming for 5 minutes waiting for your sniper to get a good pick (scout/solly won't get them to push) is hardly the most exciting thing to play, or watch.
It's the same argument that has been made in football for years. Defensive, passive playstyle works, but it isn't very entertaining. And the goal of competitive sports is to win, not to entertain. But for people and sponsors to be interested in tf2 it has to be entertaining. And currently a lot of people, myself included, prefer watching a team like Happy farmers, who go for flashy plays and just push, even 6v6 equal ubers. It doesn't work against top teams and the passive team usually wins, but is way way more fun to watch than perilous-nameless on gully
