Replace the pads, unless you want to upgrade and become a professional sound/voice editor or what ever. ORRRR, if you're absolutely mad, gather $ 1000 more and buy sennheiser 800hd's, I heard those are quite good.

I used to smoke but I just stopped although I was very young, nothing stressful was going through my life so I guess that's why It was easy.

When you bought the monitor, didn't they give you the HDMI cable with it? I have a XL2411T, for me the HDMI cable is an absolute failure as far as resolutions go, no idea with sound.
