Basically a result of boredom. Took the default HUD files and whipped this up in about 20 minutes or so. I'll have to see what (if anything) comes of it.

You could just type -autoconfig in your launch options and see if it helps at all as it is alot easier than a complete reinstall. If it makes you feel better, I too have an i7 and since the most recent update my frames have been cut in half.
