#63 ESEA s13 Open Preview in TF2 General Discussion
I get that it's really tough to do a preseason evaluation of a 60 team division, because it's hard to say which team will be one to watch before any matches have been played and a clear upper sub division has been established. Because of this, I would almost rather see interviews of recurring teams, interesting players that have started over in open to try and climb back up, etc. rather than just reading a bunch of guesses (nothing against your opinions, but as you yourself has mentioned, it's hard to come up with anything concrete week 0).

I'm going to respond to this post, because it's part of one of the only reasonable posts on this entire thread.

The decision of *what* Deathanchor writes is taken out of his hand - it is the shared opinion of me / Few / other senior ESEA writers that the pre-season rankings stuff are of little value, since even at its most thorough and in-depth, all of its pontificating becomes irrelevant within the first rounds of the first matches. We specifically instruct our writers not to spend too much time on it because of that reason... and because no one will agree with them anyway.

#62 ESEA s13 Open Preview in TF2 General Discussion

No, this is the same shit I put up with when we were all at GotFrag, too - the community has apparently evolved very little over that time. I'm sticking up for my writer, plain and simple. Please, friends, please keep pointing there are only 10 teams in the rankings, your stunning lack of common sense with that point is astounding.

Guaranteed three weeks into the season, no one will have a problem with the Open rankings and this entire conversation will be forgotten. Like it always is.

#28 ESEA s13 Open Preview in TF2 General Discussion
It would be unthinkable to write this season preview without including our Argentinian friends, Rocutaneo. Don't ask me what their name means, it's probably some weird birth defect.

Also, this is hilarious.

#27 ESEA s13 Open Preview in TF2 General Discussion

Another season, another Open pre-season article getting ripped... which happens every freaking season and no one seems to remember the cycle.

Please, take 20 hours out of your week to analyse all 60 teams and all 360 of their starters in open this season - all for $25. Of course he's generalizing, there haven't been any fucking matches played yet so none of us have any idea how the mix of sandbaggers, returning players, new players, players off classing, players you've never heard of, players who should be good but will end up sucking balls, etc. etc. etc., are going to mesh in a wide open division.

Deathanchor has been taking your shit for 4 or 5 fucking seasons how and never complains, is never late on articles, and does a fucking great job every week. If you don't like it, go start your own fucking Google Blogger site and pump out some content yourself. Otherwise, shut the fuck up.

/angry rant I repeat every season

#18 CEVO Team Fortress 2 Season 1 in TF2 General Discussion

It would probably be very similar to the old CEVO client - you install / run it when your match is happening, and sign in to the match.

P.S. HI PIPHER!! :)

#1 S12 Wrap-Up in TF2 General Discussion

http://news.esea.net/tf2/index.php?s=news&d=comments&id=12098

Quick little blurbs on each division. Also, keep an eye out for an upcoming djc feature, the S12 RK Awards (Sunday), and all our division pre-season power rankings / previews (Sunday/Monday ish).

Good luck to all teams in S13, looks like there's quite a few of them ;)

KhakithinkDon't get KOTOR 2. It is so broken. It's not broken, it's just the story is really really bad

It's not that bad - nowhere near the level of KOTOR, but it's still pretty good. The Kreia voice actor is freaking amazing. Also, I assume if they put it up on Steam, it would have been fixed, no?

#28 ATTN: ESEA admin bros in TF2 General Discussion

#26 I feel like your anger is somewhat misdirected - you shouldn't spread around the hate when really, you're just angry at the hard line lpkane takes with how he runs his business. The amount of wiggle room the rest of us have is monumentally small when taking that into consideration.

EDIT: And before you say "so drop ESEA if it's so bad", I think we can both agree that they are a lot of things ESEA does quite well for 6s TF2, so that's a non-starter.

Random thought: what if ESEA opened a Highlander division?

#26 So I noticed this on ESEA in TF2 General Discussion
ehFkMan invite players never stood up for ESEA when I was an admin :(ehFkstood up for ESEA when I was an admin :(ehFkwhen I was an admin :(ehFkI was an admin :(

BOOM

lol jk ;)

Also, the real reason for this (as anyone at the LAN should remember) is because one of the teams had to play 4v5 because one of their players decided to be a dick and dodge. Oh, and his excuse? He was mugged AFTER GOING THROUGH SECURITY and all the guy took was his BOARDING PASS. Just think about that for a second.

tl;dr - nothing to do with TF2, they're just prepping the CS kids for the day they don't have a LAN (cuz it's coming)
