I feel like the contracts will be extremely fun, and the fact that you can work together with friends will mean we can lobby up and do stupid objectives with each other rather than us having to go onto different maps to do our own things (like the Halloween contracts).
I'm also a huge sucker for cosmetics lmao, and so thought the warpaint was a really cool feature. The cosmetics also look alright.
The Pyro's items gave me a lot of hope, I think the gas passer and jetpack could be really nice additions to Pyro and maybe let Pyro be more than a fucking airblast machine for aids defensive holds, but I was a bit concerned when I saw that Pyro didn't actually get any stat changes. I am hoping that in-game, people can find some insane things to do with the new Pyro items and raise the bar with what a Pyro can do, but honestly I had a ridiculous expectation that Pyro would be a constant class in 6s so I don't know if I am quite satisfied really. Even if the items are enough to make Pyro a commonly used off-class, I don't like that it will most likely rely on a full set of specific unlocks. But either way, Pyro having the option of mobility now is good to see.
I haven't looked at the Day 4 notes yet, but I assume it is similar to what the TF2 blog posted a while ago which is okay with me. Just really disappointing there seems to be nothing on matchmaking. If I wasn't such a casual player I don't think I would have been as happy with this update.
Also annoyed at what seems to be lack of Halloween boss this year. I expected the Day 4 notes to be alongside Day 3, and for Day 4 to instead have info on Scream Fortress with some stupid story that claimed Merasmus brought the Yeti back to life or something.
Just looked at day 4 notes, little things like inspecting weapons being universal on all items and being able to smash the bottle again is great for a casual guy like me.

really steep learning curve imo and havent had a game make me want to end it all in a long time, but when you win its incredibly satisfying and if you try not to get tilted you genuinely feel like you are improving every single match.

SpaceCadetBest possible result for all involved is for Pyro to be completely removed from the game & replaced by the Guard Dog. Its an easy win/win situation.

Tobjetpack + using reflect to rocket jump will be like a double sticky jump (assuming reflect remains the same).
Won't be used in 6s. Sure you can "counterbomb" a soldier mid air and airblast them away but if there's a pyro you take scout in the uber anyway, jetpack or not.

sagehoping valve made an actual good fix to the flamethrower mojo and not just a lazy hackthey mentioned the pyro website pointing out issues like pyro mojo in one of the blogs they made. The site was frompyrowithlove or something like that but is down now. Here's the document the site was based on though

this idea was only just a little thing i thought of in like 15 seconds, not really comp in mind.
but either way, i think it could still be funny to see. Imagine "bombing" in as Pyro then airblasting ABOVE you to shoot yourself downwards, meanwhile you are charging your jetpack and purposely overcharging it as you fly towards the medic for a kamikaze drop ;)))

But it's looking like Pyro will gain a lot of mobility with his new jetpack. Even though it will be fun in pubs, in an actual competitive environment it would just be useful for EU gimmicks.
So what else do you reckon they will do to Pyro? In terms of both stats and weapon changes.
Some ideas that I think would be fun is if Pyro could use airblast in the air to propel himself around, or if he could overcharge his jetpack to blow himself up and others around him (nutty Pyro bombs???)
What I really want to know is what they will do to his flamethrower's primary attack, because its kinda trash rn.
