I think you should consider partially paid teams much more strongly than your original post seems to imply. Anyone on a roster paying is a vote of confidence to there being 6 paid by the 5th. And while plans interrupted by a move-up of just 3 days are poorly laid plans, considering the 31st / 1st are holidays, this doesn't give us much time to 'move the schedule up' per say.

Getting people on an HL team isnt the only problem you have, another is making ESEA actually attractive.
Obe's right here. Most of you dudes dont realize that you treat competitive tf2 spaces like your own personal frat. You say stuff like "get raped, nigger faggot' regularly to or about people you barely know. You rant and rage, ignore a lot of common decency, and act like asshats in pugs or towards other teams in scrims / matches. You assume everyone is comfortable with this, and if they're bothered by it, they can go fuck themself.
There are plenty of pretty decent people who find this kinda thing a total turnoff and stay more casual because of it, and saying that literally everyone should be able to ignore it for the sake of 'competition' disregards the fact that the team aspect is so important.

the lack of body hair is confusing yet slightly arousing
Dude, I dont care what news source you trust or what you think happened. Its an indictment. There's enough evidence for brown to prove the possibility of a wrongdoing occurred. That there wasn't an indictment is a failing of our prosecutor(close ties to police force), jury(75% white), or the legal system (which makes it nearly impossible to convict a police officer of unnecessary force) take your pick. Hopefully the case will get the attention it deserves when the Brown family brings it to civil court, and what really happened will be brought to light.

he is a smart gamer and also the chillest, which means more bang for your buck as a mentor \o>
I have the y40 from a 1.5 years ago (it has a backlit keyboard) I like the size for taking notes, and for gaming I mostly hook it to a monitor. The wireless card is toast (8$ external fix) and the trackpad is shit but it runs everything I throw at it. The battery is still pretty decent, but then again I think 3-4 hours is decent and im a scrub that leaves it charging so idk
from our 2x seasons, i can say whyme is chill, dedicated, serious to a fault, and a superb straight man in our team comedy routine.
his dm is solid and he tends to play very independently. will surely improve with a good team fit :}
i make anime/game ripoff art for $$$
there were a lot of girls in scout cosplays august 2011 on the animu scene so i was like
ok lets play this game and then draw pictures of it for cash money cash and sell it to thirsty nerds
little did I know the economic value of future wasted time would actually make TF2 my least profitable drawing decision of all time
hey i played with simon petrikov. fun fact, when he was in iron he had a matching name from adventure time with his e-gf (simon / betty_). he broke up with her and kept the name but not before she lost us iron to a bunch of bronies. personally i would have gone with the dog, but the name is ok too
I'm a filthy casual and have only owned a lenovo media/gaming laptop 14" for most of college. Its fairly light and I usually get above 120 frames.
To be honest, I wouldn't trade all the CPU in the world for the impromptu dorm LANs I've had and the ability to play with friends in their dorm rooms/apartments. Its especially useful if you plan to go home or travel much.
Places I've played scrims include but are not limited to: the airport, kitchen tables, shitty hotel beds, houses of strange canadian gamers, ect. (Which is always a lark, although beware retribution from your team when you drop all them while giving your gate a quick glance, or if you happen to not play medic or roamer and actually need to aim.)
WithADanceNumbersallpal pls do a froyotech one
if shade would like to add me to discuss the marketing possibilities of a blaze anime body pillow for froyotech.tv my friends list is totally open *^__^*
what if a few people w/ free time just wrote choice wiki articles or something for their fav players instead ? easily archivable / searchable for newer players
WaldoDon't open that can of worms.

Not sure what part of 'blacks are convicted for disproportionately more murders than white people per capita' conflicts with how not real reverse racism is.
There are a lot of reasons for that and plenty of them have to do with racism. Plus, it's not like those black people are out murdering white people; 90% of murders are interracial.
