Agree. its odd seeing opaque scoreboards at this point.

I honestly like the old one but it needs a tiny bit of transparency in my opinion.
As far as im aware the skinned weapon viewmodels and weapons in other players hands are always at the highest quility. They dont have any lod (level of detail) to switch to.
I only said placebo because I didnt know if it was just me doing something else or if it was that command but it seems to help a lot when using shadows.
Just a tad bit of help (example from post you added) could you tell me what each number does in this? 2639 frames 15.886 seconds 166.12 fps ( 6.02 ms/f) 7.576 fps variability
Well I dont know if it was just something happening on my pc or not, thats why I didnt want to say it was a definite or not.
So I have been testing a few commands lately for tf2 and found that cl_blobbyshadows 1 gave me an extra 15 fps at all times, if people could confirm this or not please tell me :)
Youi should make a fps config! you seem to know exactly what your talking about and i would be willing to test it for you :)
is there a way to make dx81 as pretty as dx90 without the fps loss?
