Huckso this is the infamous shitposter from etf2l
I just want someone to talk to about the music I like :(
Hello there. So recently I have been looking for a gf or a really cute bf (most people on etf2l know this but I was banned from there) I do not care if it is a long distance one or an internet one but I just want a female to talk to about the music I like. The girls I know in real life listen to shitty top 40 pop and I really can't connect with someone like that. There was this girl in england called morphine who I thought was cool until I saw her last.fm (http://www.last.fm/user/Echofish). She enjoys SNSD (and other kpop), Glee Cast, Céline Dion, and John Mayer. I can not talk to someone about music who listens to this kind of stuff.
So I am asking all of the girl gamers here to check out my (www.last.fm/user/StormingSheepy) to see if there is anything you like. Im sure a few of you must like Brand New or The Smiths however I have not listened to them in quite some time and recently I have been listening to Aereogramme, The Brave Little Abacus (I am totally in love with them) and Galaxie 500. I have also been listening to Belle and Sebastian for my whole life and I am going to see them in may in glasgow (if any cute girl wants to come with me I am totally ok with that) and of course the emo classics like American Football and Cap'n Jazz. I think I should mention that I am obsessed with "The World Is a Beautiful Place & I Am No Longer Afraid to Die" at the moment and most of you here probably aren't into them but if any girls or REALLY cute boys are please add me on steam. Thanks and here is the pastebin I sent to TWIABP.
EDIT: I forgot to mention Pinkerton by Weezer. There has to be some girl out there who understands what it feels like to have you heart broken over and over again while some cute Japanese girl who will never hurt you is living across the sea ;_;. Like sometimes I wonder if its worth bothering cause in the end all I get is my heart broken
I want to write some stuff about my favorite band at the moment (The World Is a Beautiful Place & I Am No Longer Afraid to Die) and a few of my favorite songs from them.
Ok so the first song I want to talk about is "Ultimate Steve" which has a slow start like something out of a post-rock song. However the song quickly builds up and builds up till this moment which I believe is one of the single greatest moments on any song I have ever heard (I will post 2 links, 1 for the whole song and 1 for that moment) now what makes the moment great is the fantastic production that blends the harmonic vocals and instruments together perfectly and the 2nd thing that makes it great is the fantastic lyrics which include "Eventually, the world’s gonna end. We should stop our grieving. Let it destroy me. Let it end all suffering. The world will destroy me. Our voices will flood rivers and valleys. The world will destroy me and I am the mountains crumbling." However these lyrics might seem depressing but they are really not, I actually find a lot of peace knowing that one day I will die and all the suffering in my life will one day end.
This First link here is the whole song including the buildup. However I realize that people have short attention spans so I will give a 2nd link with the best part (although I think that the build up is part of what makes it great.)

Alright so I as said earlier this next song by them is called "Getting Sodas" and it starts out as a nice little indie rock jam until around the 1:41 mark when the shit really starts going as one of the band members start screaming "to lose your faith in the world is to lose faith in yourself. We are ghosts in your homes. We travel under the FLOOR" and then this really amazing music comes in and they start screaming;
"And when our voices fail us we will find new ways to sing. When our bodies fail we’ll find joy in the peace that it brings." and I really love the line "When our bodies fail we’ll find joy in the peace that it brings" and the song blasts out some more amazing music for like 30 seconds until the song calms down again and then starts to build up again (like in ultimate Steve) and the last half of the 7 minute song is this incredible build up and then we hear EVERYONE in the band chanting
"The world is a beautiful place but we have to make it that way. Whenever you find home we’ll make it more than just a shelter. And if everyone belongs there it will hold us all together. If you’re afraid to die, then so am I."
Which takes you back to the moment in Ultimate Steve where they are chanting "The world will destroy me." They are now singing about how life has so much pain and suffering but when you find people and a place where you belong and everyone is together then the world is a beautiful place and when you die you will find joy in the peace that it brings.

I would also like to mention that "Low Light Assembly" is one of the most beautiful pieces of music I have ever heard. I think a lot of credit for that goes Chris Teti for blending those beautiful instrumentals that somehow manages to overwhelm me with emotion every time it starts. However its not just the instrumentals that is beautifully done but then these incredible harmonies come in that perfectly accompany the instrumentals. However there is more to it than that as the lyrics perfectly accompany the music by creating this beautiful atmosphere with lines such as "The light bleeds through the window pane, into our eyelids." and "The echoes race around the room, they sing together. "We are all the same".
I could probably write a lot more about how much this album means to me but I think I have written too much for now. So here is the link to my absolute favorite song right now - Low Light Assembly.

I keep looking for a place to fit in
Where I can speak my mind
I've been trying hard to find the people
That I won't leave behind
They say I got brains
But they ain't doing me no good
I wish they could
Each time things start to happen again
I think I got something good going for myself
But what goes wrong
Sometimes I feel very sad ;_;

nah thats just zebbosai he always does that :D
PermzillaWe believe everyone should be given a second chance. There are people who are banned, return after a year and are clean. Most don't return, but still.
I agree repeat offenders need harsher punishments, I'll look into it.
Please do. I believe in 2nd chances but not 3rd chances. People who cheat in etf2l are lucky enough to be allowed to play in the league again just a year later (for most other games that would never be allowed) Someone like baud gets a 2nd chance and gets to play on a decent team in prem and still decides to hack and throw it away. We shouldn't let him do the same thing next year (this isnt just about baud its about everyone who hacks after coming back)
KanecoSheepy man u seem to have some deep hatred for the guy.
I don't hate him but I trust the AC admins judgement. If baud isn't hacking then the AC admins have fucked up big time (again) but considering the mistakes they have made in the past I am pretty sure they wouldn't ban him if they weren't totally sure he was hacking. So I am gonna trust them on this one. Also the fact he hasn't been vac banned comes down to how valve just don't care about competitive tf2 so they don't put the time and effort into finding cheats for this game.
droso
Thanks. Hopefully, you'll still be able to see us in non-ETF2L cups and lans since we should keep playing together nonetheless.
So you are saying that you plan to continue playing other tournaments and non etf2l cups with a cheater who has been caught hacking and banned from etf2l TWICE? How is this allowed, this kind of thing would never be allowed in other games, why do you think you can play other tournaments that could possibly have prizes with a hacker and just get away with it cause tf2 is a small game. Seriously what is wrong with you and your team to not only support a cheater but to then publicly announce that you want to continue playing tournaments with him and fuck over the teams who are actually legit. This shit should not be allowed if we don't want TF2 to appear as a complete joke.
