pendashorasAlso in case op is asking this question after seeing all CSGO pros with tons of expensive skins and knives each, the difference between them and TF2 players is that they're getting skins for free from their sponsors.
a lot of them buy their own skins but they actually get a salary from playing
and skins don't give away hiding spots
There aren't that many hiding spots, where you can barely see a hiding enemy, unless he wears an unusual (they need to be quite dark to make the difference). TF2 player models contrast to the environment unlike CSGO ones, so it's not that big of a deal. Yeah, you might spot someone a bit earlier if he's got an unusual (also highly depends on the effect), but most of the time it won't make a big difference.
E1iteSince we're reviving dead threads I guess
Dude wtf? At least previous necros had something to do with the actual thread.
Time for B5 to get some league points.
MikeMatyou aren't seeing them on TFTV streams because STV doesn't show unusual effects
GasolUnusual effects don't show up in STV.
When was the last time you watched a TFTV stream? Unusuals have been disabled (or broken) on STVs at some point, but that issue has been gone for a long time. I haven't gone through all the VODs, but unusuals have been definetely workin since i55 (just look at b4nny/duwatna/shade, whenever either appears in a third person view).
In fact, there are players with unusuals. I counted 14 in ETF2L Prem at least (from active rosters). Also from my limited experience of watching top AU TF2 (haven't really watched anything but ego vs jasmine tea), it felt like more than half of those two teams combined had unusual hats/weapons or both.

HereComesTheBoomwhy not make it a serious thing and have a regular mid fight, the team that wipes the other wins.
they could also play a round of dustbowl and the winner gets a 2-0 handicap
Heavy fist fights to replace golden caps!
4812622zatoichi fights would be a good deal faster and more entertaining
How can you not be entertained with 12 people running around a point and yelling "pootis" while beating each other?
retrogradeif the tf2 community wants to be seen as a more serious esport this probably wont help
As if a knife round in CS looks much more serious.
GODnose!
Watching those plays live was amazing.
strong120also, what about the no explosion smoke script?
What about it?
smzi76561198056041753team "Clowns"
thats what i misread "crowns" for the first time i opened this post
I read it as "crows" and my first thought was "why is there a lion on the logo?".
DroidsternameLess falling apart as soon as they're on the backfoot, rip EU's hopes for i58 if this is our best team
Dude it's just 1 map loss, how would this affect i58 at all? People are overreacting tbh.
That sound Vaccinator makes each time you get a charge.
In theory scripted autoheal is the same as holding your mouse button.
