If I'm online I can both stream and cast (hopefully with a partner!)

We'll plug it Kaneco. Mixing it up is one thing, but getting to know teammates playstyles is an entirely different skill.
Unfortunately I will not be able to be there due to a scheduling conflict. If you are a newbie reading these forums, go. Absolutely go. You'll meet interesting people who like the things you like, and maybe you'll hear some good ol' British humour too (cough TheGreenBin cough). Noona and the other admins will take care of you.
And if you are a coach, or are considering coaching, do it. For all the same reasons, but also because you'll feel proud of teaching someone else new skills and knowledge.
BUMP. We need newbies
Thank you Slin! Will you be there tonight?
They run from 6-9PST (9-12EST). We usually stay later though :)
Hi everyone!
I'm not sure why, but the Newbie Mixes announcement didn't make it's way to the Upcoming Events tab. I know Noona (and tragic?) are gone, so I will be taking over for them. As always, come out regardless of experience level. It's always a bunch of fun. Reminder: you need mumble and a mic.
Besides that, there really aren't that many rules. Hopefully we'll have some invite coaches tonight!
"Already know the basics of TF2 but eager to sharpen your competitive knowledge? Unsure how to push last, get to mid fast, or manage uber advantages? Come by this Saturday night for Newbie Mixes and learn how to play competitive 6s games with a fine selection of coaches. Get all your questions answered and try out a few 6s games with other newbies and your coach! Read the guide provided below, join the Steam group, and add up in mumble when you're ready to go pro. Already experienced and have at least one season of ESEA experience? Newbie Mixes is always in need of coaches to help keep mixes going!"
PUGs will be running concurrently, if you're too good for regular Newbie Mixes.
In case you can't play, but still want to be part of the action, I might stream some of the info sessions (Q&As with coaches). Check those out too!

P.S. Just found out Noona is back! So if you love that kid be sure to stop by.
Holyshiznocrying =(
I'm sorry :( Wanna talk about it?
Can someone check out the clipping on that rock? I'd love to know if this is reproducible across servers
Everyone is doing such interesting things! It makes my day (coding for maybe 6 straight hours) seem less impressive. But I can barely lift or move my arms or legs, so computer stuff is the way to go.
boppetActually finally ran 3 miles today, also I've been trying to write a book, and some inspiration hit me.
Also discovered this sweet website, Khan academy, its really amazing for school stuffs etc.(seriously) Been a good day I suppose.
Check out CodeCademy! It's a lot like Khan Academy, except it's specialized for programming.
I just had an incredible experience backpacking in Yosemite valley, and this morning we got up at 3AM to reach the summit of Half Dome by sunrise. It was absolutely amazing, and I feel really accomplished. The cables that lead to the top are scary as shit, but I'm proud that I made it through.
I just wanna know, How was your day? Did you win LAN? (OMG I HAVE SO MANY VODs TO WATCH :D) Did you mow the lawn? Ask out the girl/guy of your dreams? Just sit around and play videogames (yea I thought so)?
What did you do today?
SnowyI think a lot of people who would be happy to help find that they disqualify under the coach requirements.
Noona, I, and the other admins have been talking about it. We're seeking a compromise at the moment... I'll keep you updated as the discussion continues.
Noona is on vacation, so I'm taking over Newbie Mixes for this weekend. I'm not exactly sure how to make an event (enigma/others help?), so this is as much of an official thread as we have.

If you are truly new to the competitive scene, read through all the links of the Steam Group page. We have info on mumble, rollouts, and general tactics. If you have any other questions, add me on Steam and I'll help you with any and all problems.
This event will run from 9PM-12PM EST, 6PM-9PM PST, but we almost always stay afterwards and have fun late into the night.
Do they have to be STV demos, or are POV demos OK?
