whenever i try to connect to this old mumble that me and my buddies use, it just does this and doesn't let me connect.
occasionally it does, but i can't tell why.
it does however let me connect when i use my laptop which is mega weird.
any help is appreciated

LF Wifi Adapter for desktop

In short, I can't run an ethernet cable to my room for my PC.
Looking for a relatively cheap (under $40 CAD) alternative that's good enough to play videogames without much lag.
I'm used to playing on wifi so it's not gonna be too bad for me and after buying a shitty usb one that I just returned, I am at a kind of loss for what to get.
Any help will be appreciated.
Edit: My router is located downstairs, probably 2-3 walls inbetween.
