Yeah, now that people mention Dishonored, that was about the last "big" title that managed to keep me engaged. Stealth gaming done absolutely right.

All big title single player games are uninspiring, mind numbing, and just plain boring to me. What I have recently played and liked:
Super Meat Boy
Papers, Please
The Stanley Parable
Fez
Kentucky Route Zero
Nidhogg
Hotline Miami
Mark of the Ninja
Broken Age
Evilcalled 8500 hours of TF2 i think
Thats probably the reason yeah
DreamboatI dont think he plays demo. He plays roamer.
Haha, nice reasoning there
hektikEvery time I see a Kaidus frag clip I have a hard time not having him as the best demo in the world. I mean, with that DM he must be really, REALLY, bad in the gamesense department to not be lol.
Sounds reasonable.
I use an Impress Brewer, basically an insulated french press (with a slightly finer filter) which doubles as a thermos. It also helps keeping a more constant temperature during the brewing time.
'
As for the type of coffee I switch around a lot. Medium to dark roast. I don't mind a little robusta in my blend from time to time actually.
People who have reported bitter tastes with a french press: did you try coarser grinds and shorter brewing times? It can also help to scoop away the grounds that have risen to the top before you plunge (because by plunging you force the water through those grounds again, risking overextraction). You could also try and let your water cool down a bit more (closer to 195f/90c) before you pour it in.
Meanwhile I pledged on these:
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/bruceconstantine/the-espro-travel-press (I like my Impress but sometimes I'd like sludge-free coffee. Also this one is actually sealed and transportable unlike the Impress)
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/brewover/brewover-20-coffee-system (sweet brewover system that allows for full immersion brewing and easy cold brewing)
its gonna be shit, how can you actually have faith in this
am i the only one still not sure if troll?
downpournever forget double mini sentry gpit
Makes for an awesome a defense
SideshowYeah I think that as well skeej, and could be something we experiment with in the future. But that opens up a whole new huge can of worms as to how you perform the pick/ban system, how many weapons you ban, whether you pick/ban classes etc etc. It's a very hard thing to judge.
True. I'd be happy to provide my input in any possible brainstorm session about this!
In such a scenario, there should definitely be pre-decided teams, as you'd like to work on some "strats" or at least pick/ban mindgames or cherrypicks based on specific player proficiency with gimmicky unlock X
When i was told about this i thought there would be a pick/ban system involved like in mobas (right? I never play/watch that stuff but i believe before the game both get turns at picking/banning certain heroes???)
Turns out this is just a pure, unadulterated, "allow everything" match? Thats not really interesting imo. Also, Valve could perfectly fine get behind a matchmaking system with item pick/bans i think...
eXtineThat is a pretty good tip skeej. Something I haven't tried but sounds delicious is Wolfgang Puck's method, apparently he cooks it similar to risotto. So you would cook up some delicious veggies, throw in the dried pasta, then add chicken stock bit by bit until all the liquid is absorbed and the pasta is cooked.
Oh shit that sounds sick ... I did try cooking veggies together with pasta in the same water, infuses the flavors somewhat and saves you a pan :D . Risotto method seems daring, but you could also end up with very starchy pasta (since none of the loose starch ends up in the water but all remains on the pasta surface). I guess some people like it that way.
I liked the tilted pan trick too, so simple, but never thought of it. I never roast whole garlic cloves though... seems kind of an agressive garlicy explosion in your mouth that way, but I guess the roasting process mellows them out? I really love the even simpler version of that sauce: aglio, olio e peperoncino. Basically the same sauce but with chopped garlic and without tomatoes.
Do an asian dish next!
Protip: when you turn off the heat of the pasta pan after you brought the pasta to a boil again, it will still cook al dente in the expected time. This is because the effective temperature at which pasta cooks is way below the boiling point of water. Saves quite some energy and you dont risk that messy foamy overboil problem.
Ymmv if you dont use enough water to retain the heat or a very thin, non-insulating pan. It also might not work on very thick pasta.
DrPloxoCats aren't sentient, yo.
Edit your post. We will all pretend we didn't notice.
That's actually a rare boss:
