i dont scrobble that much anymore
hello bump
looking for more scout tryouts and pockets
I didn't pick the 8400 for the extra cores, but mostly because of the boost in performance i've seen from benchmarks, plus the 8400 and the 1500x/2400g are around the same price so
also yeah i'm def getting rid of the z mobo
like i said in my first post, i'm gonna build this pc around july so if the rumored ryzen 2 cpu come out by then, i might just stick with an AMD build.
smesi#2808
hello i'm back looking for more help, decided to switch to a coffee lake instead of a AMD cpu because i think i'll get the most out of an intel cpu than a ryzen one
just like last time, i'm mostly looking for 2nd opinions since i think i got my parts picked
pcpartpicker.com/user/smessy/saved/#view=PmtGf7
(picked the mobo for a potential 8600k or 8700k in the future, although i would most likely settle wiith a 8700 nonK instead)
also another question, should i bother getting a discrete GPU rn or buy one later?
I will still buy a discrete GPU sometime after getting the rest of the pc but assuming that i have no urge to play other games besides tf2, my main "goal" is to get like 100+ fps consistent and idk if i'll get that without a discrete gpu
thanks again
has anyone had any chance of benchmarking tf2 with the new ryzen APUs?
preferably the 2400g
hell yeah brother let me spend 1600$ on my gpu, cpu and ram ALONE to run tf2 in low settings at 720p
hello
me and pissy are making a team for s28 and we just want to have fun with people we know and like, but also want to make a dent and make playoffs with a decent/good record

SetsulYes, what exactly is the question you are trying to ask?
gpu recommendations
also the newegg reviews said that a good chunk of those mobos came DOA or they stopped working shortly after but that could just depend on newegg
Setsul#2808
should i worry at all about the bad reviews of the mobo in newegg
also other things i've thought before posting that, i was thinking of getting the ryzen 1600 (non x) but i don't think the extra cores and threads would do that much to tf2 so i went for the 1500x / 2400g
the reason why i gravitated toward the 2400g is because of the igpu, so idk if the 2600 would be interesting to me assuming that, like you said, i wouldnt have a igpu
if i ever want to make upgrades and buy a GPU, it would prob be around christmas, so by then the gpu prices would be a bit better right?
i guess i could ask about GPUs while i'm here, so i'm not really interested about anything above 1080p, also iirc tf2 is a very cpu-dependent game so i dont think getting a good gpu would matter here but, like i said, it would give me the opportunity to play other games in the future when i burn out (which will most likely happen at one point)
