Is it possible to change your interp value during a match if you're dead or changing a class? Obviously you can't change it when you're alive, but can you change it when you're dead?

I know it's only day one, but it seems like they haven't really changed matchmaking at all. No placement matches to put you in the correct rank, everybody from b4nny to a 13 hour gibus spy will be in the same rank when it comes out.

Here are some things to keep in mind before you get started
About Competitive Play
When you queue up for a competitive match, you will be matched with players of similar skill into a best-of-three format 6v6 match. Your skill will be determined by a persistent rank associated with every competitive match that you play. As you win and lose matches, your rank will adjust to reflect your observed skill.
Since competitive matches have a persistent impact (match results, medal counts, rating adjustments, season totals, etc.) on a player's experience, you can expect a more team-focused, adrenaline-charged experience here.
Abandoning Competitive Matches
Abandoning your teammates (leaving the server) during a competitive match will count as an automatic loss. Additionally, you will receive a matchmaking cooldown, preventing you from playing further competitive matches for a significant time. Subsequent abandons will greatly increase the length of this cooldown.
Connection Loss
If you lose connection to a competitive match for any reason, you will receive a short grace period during which you will be prompted to rejoin the game in progress. After this grace period expires, you will automatically abandon the match.
Note About Custom HUDs
If you are using a custom HUD, please check that it is updated to support the competitive beta. Custom HUDs that have not had the new competitive elements added may result in missing UI or stability issues.
