uhhhh it doesn't work in dx8 so if you're on dx8 you should use dx9
fixed by using #29's method except i put it in a folder that you can download and unzip and put in custom (remove your custom hud first)
edit: this breaks creating parties and inviting people to your parties
this lag is fucking unplayable holy christ
unplug your controller
i had this exact issue with a controller plugged in, unplugging it fixed it for me

overall this seems like a great update but i'm not sure how it took them this long to rebalance/add a few weapons and fix casual lobbying...
plus, do we even know if they actually *fixed* flamethrower mojo? they didn't specifically state that they did, just that they got rid of the "visual mismatch" or whatever
regardless, it seems like a good update, but not as big as i had hoped, and it's slightly disappointing
that being said, good on valve for still supporting this 10 year old game with its whiny fanbase (a la reddit) and actually releasing something

straight cap points + slight transparency

took like 30 minutes in paint.net with a vtf export plugin
thought it looked cool so i figured i'd share
unzip this and put it in your tf/custom folder
it *will* override your hud's cap points, unless your hud has a name with a "_" at the beginning
also it only works on certain servers aka certain sv_pure 1 servers (and sv_pure 0 servers)
update: fixed it by using a different (toonhud) crosshair
anyway, what's wrong with toonhud? i only like it because of how customizable it is (without me having to know how huds work), im totally open to other huds if yall have any suggestions

hi i use toonhud and i saw this other thread which mentioned a guide to centering crosshairs which is a dead link, which is not helpful at all.
the problem i'm having is that whenever i use any of toonhud's crosshairs at any 16:9 resolution other than 1280x720, the toonhud crosshair is off by a few pixels compared to the default crosshair, and it's really aggravating.
anyone know a fix?
use dx8 with new amd drivers is the only way i can think of
