mastercomsHm, in that case I'm not sure. Here are my best guesses, try these one by one, see which one fixes the issue: mat_reducefillrate 0, r_lightaverage 1 or r_ambientboost 1.
still nope. i mean i can live with it, but its just very annoying sometimes, and has gotten me killed when i mistook a player as being on my team when he was actually on the opposite one

mastercomsstephNot entirely sure what has been causing this, but I believe you can work around this issue for now with mat_mipmaptextures 0. I'll try to find out the cause in a few days, sorry about this.

how come in certain lighting players look basically unrecognizable in regards to team color? and some props look much darker as well?
