Wait, so you're saying you have an opinion... and not everybody agrees with it?! What is this madness?
Aesthetically: the HUD looks good. Clearly you spent a lot of time making it appealing.
Practically: it has a lot of unnecessary stuff that makes it harder to see what's going on around you. It's the same reason people don't use viewmodels; they look great and all, but they just get in the way when you're trying to find people to click on.
If I hadn't been using the internet for like 13 years, I'd be amazing at how defensive you're being about your HUD being seen as revolutionary and perfect, but sadly this is not the case.
Each and every one of you is wonderful :')
Except think, literally the devil.

Literally won LAN with an earlier version of this.
On an unrelated note to TWSS' awful posting abilities, check out my new free Chrome extension, designed specifically for TF.TV!

spammy-I just spoke to pocket and he didn't even talk to synchro, this is complete bullshit.
lol he didn't tell that to me, it went through the grapevine. I was making it clear to my pal slipz that if something was happening, it wasn't our fault, and we wouldn't take advantage of it.
SaxualContentspoiler no one got ddos'd
Did you not watch the match? We paused for a while, bsc apparently did get hit, and we offered to wait it out or play 5v5 until it stopped.

It's back.
vanillaWhy does he get +frags for suggesting shotgun roamer, but I get -fragged to death for suggesting it
Probably because you implied that roamers should only use the shotgun, when the reality is that most roamers that run shotgun in lower levels are probably just eating up more heals from the med than they should.
The shotgun is amazing to have when you need higher damage output, but that's not the roamer's main job. I'm not going to turn this into a "how to play roaming soldier" debate (especially since I barely have a season of experience on it under my belt), but there are more important things for roamers to do than secure kills:
Bully people out of flank.
Force ubers.
Run distractions during fights.
Be really mobile to throw burst damage in a mostly locked-down area and then probably die. (ie. bomb)
Most of the time, having a shotgun only hurts your potential to get those accomplished. Gunboats make you almost completely heal independent, which means your scouts will get more buffs, which means you'll win more fights.
aimHe threw want more info pm me
I'll save you the trouble. According to some people, ndust is moving up to AG or some similar-caliber team, and blacky is joining indust we trust. He (supposedly) threw the match to have a good reason to leave the team.
That seems like a bit of a stretch to me, but then again, so does the idea of bape and TWSS coming up with this master plan to DDoS and then throw the blame on bullet hating bunny before the game even happens.
If you want to make your roaming soldier stronger, give them a shotgun.
The only weakness of any soldier known to man is stairs.
mstarry-Why is it that only 1 win required to move up to IM anyways? Seems like it should be at least 2 wins or something.
until IM actually has a stable amount of teams from season to season without the entire bottom half dropping out it makes sense to get as many open playoff teams into IM as possible
Which will probably never happen as long as the top open teams are as good as the bottom IM teams, and the top IM teams are in a division of their own.
Our mumble drew silent the moment he entered the channel; dflame, the legend, the MGE all-star himself was here, in our mumble, about to play for my team!
I could feel myself starting to sweat, anticipation rising in my blood. I nervously opened a chat window with my medic. It took a few tries, my hands were shaking, I could barely control my usually nimble fingers. Finally I managed to type out the sentence. "This is it. We have to impress him, our TF2 careers are on the line."
Not wanting to show my true emotions, I took a few heavy breaths before trying to make my voice seem deep and important. "Hey dflame, thanks for ringing." I let out a sigh of relief the moment my finger left my talk key. This was it, it was actually happening! He said nothing in return, his stoic silence reassuring the team that he was here for our benefit, not his; and boy were we grateful.
The match began, and the mid rollout was called. Our regular scout made his call for where he was going, and dlfame needed no instruction; he simply processed this information along with every other bit he picked up one, from the time left on the map to the ever-changing sensitivity of his mouse. By the time the midfight was over, we were giddy with confidence. dflame had yet to secure a kill, but I was sure it was just because he was serving the team the points, calculating every distance, his endless hours in MGE mod allowing him to know precisely when to stop shooting an opponent and let a teammate pick up a kill.
When we reached the second point, dflame valiantly ran ahead, throwing himself into the enemy's last point alone, willing to take on the hard work while the rest of us sat back and capped. I nearly wept at his bravery, his willingness to carry such a lowly open team as ours.
Suddenly, though, things would change. Something went wrong with dflame's plan; he died without killing all six of them, without killing even one of them, and there was a shrill voice in mumble, explaining what happened. It must have been the lag, it must have been! This stupid server, with its terrible routing to him! How dare we bring him to a server that gives him such a terrible ping! Why oh why did we pick the server that wouldn't register his shot at the most crucial moment!
I was scared. His loud, angry speech in mumble worried me, it felt directed at me. I could feel the rage, the hatred penetrating our mumble, I nearly broke down in tears of a different kind from earlier. We had failed him. I should have been there, I should have left the control point to take the shot for him, to eat up the bullets while he did his job, I should have helped him when the game wouldn't. He promptly left the server and mumble both, after a long string of swear words. I was speechless. We politely "gg"'d the enemy team and excused ourselves from the scrim. It was over. How could we have come so close and let victory slip through our very fingerS?
I cried for so long that night. I couldn't help it. I had failed to impress, to even be tolerable for him. dflame, I am sorry, I am so sorry. I never should have let you play for such a low team. I never should have disappointed you. Please forgive me and my team, we will never bother you again.
MR_SLIN@Toon Gang: you claim that we need to provide evidence of Bape cheating, but you know that it's difficult, if not impossible to obtain. are you really just going to sit there and keep on playing dumb?
Whoa, shots fired.
Like I said, I don't know one way or the other. bape has never gotten into mumble and been like "hey, I'm gonna make this 5v6 so we win", so it's not like we're just turning the other cheek.
On top of this, it's exactly like you said - bape has no intention of staying with the team (and neither do I), so there's literally zero reason for him to cheat them into Intermediate, especially considering the reasons he's leaving.
bape straight up told me that he hasn't done it and seemed genuinely upset that people are convinced he's done something wrong, so I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. At the same time, I've already agreed that the situation is pretty damn shady, and before joining the team (and getting to know him better) I was under the impression that bape was a pug-ruining dillhole, so I'm honestly not 100% sure.
Edit: If he were proven to be a cheater, I'd jump ship in a heartbeat, and be the first to ask for the match to be overturned. But like I said, if he is responsible, he's hidden it pretty well from the rest of us.
Hi. I'm synchro. I am not looking anymore, thank you.
