#26 Pls find a scenario where what you say is actually true and a year-ban has any benefit over a permaban.
There would have to be a cheater who gets a year ban, actually repents and patiently follows the game for a year without buying an alt to start playing legit again after the ban expires.
This is not a realistic scenario imo.
eeeI don't think hacking should be a permaban, just a year or 6 month. The only reason permabans are really used is so players are forced to buy new copies when they get caught
If you're dedicated enough to wait a year to play the game, you'd just buy a new copy. If you're dedicated enough to wait a year just to cheat again without losing money, you should be perma banned.

The game does internally prevent you from using aimbots. All of the examples you mention are explicitly prevented by sv_pure or vac. Edited viewmodel animations are explicitly allowed in sv_pure. That's why it doesn't have to bypass sv_pure.
