So I won the gunblade from AGDQ (though I'm not going to believe it until I get the thing in the mail, kinda ridiculous thing to win), and I've been thinking the best thing to do with something won unexpectedly from a charity drive is to reuse it for charity.
Assuming I do get the thing, I'd like to use this as a possible raffle prize of some sort during this stream. Maybe with a minimum donation of some sort required to be entered and a minimum total amount raised required for it to be given away (apparently it's worth around $1000, from what I have heard, not confirmed, so if less than that was raised it would make more sense to sell it and donate the charity). I'll keep you guys posted. Any feedback would be appreciated on the idea.
As to the event as a whole, I think there should diffidently be a planned schedule well ahead of time, with advertising/hype building. Approaching people from different parts of the community is key - get the popular streamers, high level players, community figures/casters, youtubers, and maybe even someone from Valve for a short appearance if possible (worth trying a few emails). And definitely keep it on one stream. It's going to be hard to keep viewers and keep a constant stream of action if the event is being moved around.

Something frequently happens where my ping is at 200-700 constantly changing and it stays that way for extending periods of time. I have reset my router, generally at least once a day. I just reset my router and I currently have about 600 ping. Everything is frozen and I'm rubberbanding and my weapons switch themselves. I am currently the only person using the internet. It seems to happen at any time of the day. I'm living in an apartment where they have a deal with Verizon so they are the only possible provider. Also this is the best internet I can get from them here. Here's a speedtest I just did (closed tf2):

Please help.
Edit: I have no idea why speedtest is giving me an A. I usally get a D or an F being worse than 90% of the US.
Just to be clear, when I am dling, I never actually get that dl speed. It also changes constantly and usually never goes above 220.
Another speedtest
high mid mvm skills and takes guy gamers' breath away.
UrbanShakedownTf2 Hacky-sack. Make this happen plz.
Multiplayer with some tweaks, I could see that being really entertaining and hipster.
This is so much better than every pub spy fwag vid.
Every Dave I've ever known is an awesome person, and Dave_AC epitomizes a true Dave, even if that's not technically his real name.
"6:43 PM - iNF--: we are not going to move you guys this season, but after this season if your performance is where it needs to be you will move down"
So the way leagues should work is that you put a team in a division that's higher than them to get stomped on pretty hard, then once you've proven they cannot compete at that higher level, you move them down a division for the next season. Ok. Sounds good.
langebud - lange
budlange - seanbud

kurtkurt - truktruk

seanlange - lange and sean with a heart.
Thank you John.
There's basically two kinds of streamers that consistently get good numbers - you have the highest level players, and then you have people like truktruk. No, he's not amazing at TF2. But he is always very engaged with his viewers, and interacts constantly. I mean, he bought a damn green screen. He's also hilarious. The most successful streamers over time are the people that are talented and engaging (like Seanbd, Lange, and Pyyyour). Just stream on a consistent basis, and do your best to engage the viewers.
When someone closes a bad stream - they feel like they closed a youtube video. When someone closes a good stream - they feel like they closed a skype call with a bunch of people.
And if you don't feel like streaming one day, then don't. It takes a lot more energy than just playing the game, and you can burn out.
Best game in a long time. I'm wondering how mix^ is going to react to loss.
I feel like there's a certain limit to how many frames my eyes/brain would really take in a second.
I had a friend who bought a Lenovo. He's had to get it replaced 2 or three times now and has had a lot of issues with them. Every time they send him a new one it fucks up again after a few weeks.
Medigun sorta looks like a less fun version of the quickfix with some overheals.
