most digits are like the easy letters where you just make it bigger like this: 5 -> 5
but some are really funky, for example a capital 8 is one of these fuckin things: ß

bump its on early access right now
yo merry christmas!!!!
what did you write this in?
Brimstonewhat are the specs exactly on ur computer
also are you attempting to host and play on the same machine?
ryzen 7 1700
16gb 2133hz ram
gtx 1060 3gb
yes i am
Brimstonethe distance is one thing, but if you dont' have the upload to support the data transfer rates then your server will lag and people's ping will spike
i guess that sort of makes sense, but the thing is the server works just fine for 10-20 minutes before his ping eventually spikes
Brimstonethat's some crazy down but i'm afraid that upload is at least part of the problem, i assume the machine itself is pretty beefy.
I have something like 30 upload at home and people playing on my hosted tf2 server complain about slightly higher ping than they would normally experience with a chicago server
and the machine i use to host isn't what you would call modern
i dunno if that would be a huge problem considering we're essentially neighbors
Brimstoneactually that might not be the problem, can you check your up/down here
http://speedof.me/
i'm pretty sure tf2 dedicated servers need hefty upload speeds so your net might not be cuttin' it
Brimstonedo you allocate memory in the launch command? maybe you're running out
how can i do this? ive got 16gb in my computer so there's not gonna be any hardware problems
also connecting to the server from my own machine is not laggy at all, just my friend ends up with ~600 ping
