#7 Hijacked steam account panic in TF2 General Discussion
KAMOtornados2111truktruktornados2111truktrukhttps://support.steampowered.com/

Submit a ticket there. You should be able to get your account back if you provide the credit information you used to purchase games/steam wallet funds.
How much exactly should I be giving that is safe? I assume just the number of the card? and what if I used different cards?

I wouldn't provide any information it doesn't ask you to provide. I'm just saying they will probably want that information so have it ready.
Right, thanks for your help. Do you happen to know anything about retrieving lost items/games/anything else?
If you had SteamGuard enabled, they can't trade for 7 days which gives you time to get your account back. Someone just hijacked my account last week, out of nowhere. Submit a ticket today, it took them 5 days to get back to me (assuming it's related to the high #s of support tickets warning on their page)

I don't understand this logic. I had steamguard on, and I could trade. If steam thinks that person is the owner, how will it stop them from trading?

#1 Hijacked steam account panic in TF2 General Discussion

Just had a guy send me a request to add another guy on steam, which turned out to be a fake steam url which asked me to log on and to upload a certain file from steam folder (me thinking it's a new feature because steamguard never works properly) I instantly tried to change my pw, but it was too late. Pw changed by them, gained control and changed email address. Contacted steam support. What can I do to stop anything. Block my acc? I googled but can't find an answer. Is it even possible? will any lost things be renewed by valve?

#1 Strange sound problem in Off Topic

Earlier today, I adjusted my volume ever so slightly, and then back. Ever since there seems to be a huge amount of base in tf2, so much so that it's annoying and other strange stuff with sound. For example, quiet footsteps appear loud, and background map noise too, although the rest seems normal. After restarting my computer the base problem seemed to go away but this other stuff is still there.I use realtek drivers, but I didn't change anything there.
Also, steam messages are really really loud. It's like everything has it's own volume and suddenly it all changed
Spent ages googling but couldn't find anything, any help appreciated

#1 A possibly stupid idea for a hud in TF2 General Discussion

I have no experience in making HUDs but I've had this idea where the scoreboard is very minimalist, for example showing the players on the top left of the screen, and maybe just kills and deaths on the very bottom left. Maybe you can then make a script to keep Tab always on, and so the scoreboard always there. I think maybe that will be very useful to easily and always see what opponents are dead or not and allow you to react to a situation quicker. Maybe this is a stupid idea, tell me

#38 60hz vs 120hz in TF2 General Discussion
freakintornados2111shruggermyself and most people I talk to personally, find lightboost to cause too much lag to be worth the extra clarity. I would pick motion blur over input lag any day, even if it is only a single frame of input lagSo lightboost increases input lag? I thought the whole idea was that each frame is divided, causing no motion blur AND no input lag. There is even a graph of how 60hz creates 16 ms delay but lightboost 120 creates 2 ms. Are you sure it really creates input lag?
I'm actually wondering myself because I'm considering paying the extra bit to get a lightboost enabled monitor
http://forums.blurbusters.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=16

Very interesting read, thanks for the link. I however find "way too much input lag" maybe an over exaggeration since it's 4 ms. I'm not saying that you can't feel the difference, but is it really true that making 0 motion blur just won't help at all and won't outweigh the 4 ms?
Anyone else got experience with this?

#4 Simple Chemistry Question in Off Topic

Ok, thanks guys. Most of this makes sense to me...
except from knowing you have 0.4 moles of CH4, how can you know that there is 4 moles of hydrogen in each CH4 molecule?

#1 Simple Chemistry Question in Off Topic

I'm bad at chemistry. Need help with a simple question. I tried finding other threads with chemistry but people that can help have either been offline for a long time or won't answer friend requests

Q: How many moles of hydrogen atoms are there in 6.4g of methane(CH4)?

A: 6.4g of CH4
1 mole of CH4 = 16g

6.4/16 = 0.4 moles

0.4 x 6x10^23 = 2.4x10^23 molecules of CH4
(as there are 5 atoms in 1 molecule we multiply by 5)
2.4x10^23 x 5 = 1.2x10^24 atoms
(4 fifths of atoms are hydrogens so...)
1.2x10^24 / 5 x 4 = 9.6x10^23 atoms of hydrogens
The question asked how many moles of hydrogens. Does this mean divide that final answer by 6x10^23? Or do we count 4 hydrogens as 1 molecule and divide by 4 again and then divide by 6x10^23?
Any help appreciated
