#11 High FPS in Q/A Help

I'm on an i5-3570K with fps going up to 1300 fps on an empty server (as server fills up of course it goes down to 300 sometimes) but my mouse movement is always fine, whether or not my fps is over 1000

I still think the best match of all was iM vs HRG in the group stages. Anyone agree with me?

#19 Improving my aim in Q/A Help
DaMeiNtornados2111I just got a zowie evo ec2 and the sensor feels sooo responsive. But I feel like when I move the mouse slowly its correct, and when it's faster, there is acceleration or that when I move fast its fine and when I move it slowly, there is some sort of negative accel. Is this possible? Or is this just because I am not used to it coming from a crappy mouse? I have a coloured mouse pad if it matters
Is your enhanced pointer precision turned on in your Windows Mouse settings? This use to do well, back in ball mouses, but with laser technology it actually inhibits them. Check your settings in your Control Panel > Hardware And Sound > Devices and Printers > Mouse > Pointer Options.

Also, I find that Rocketfish mousepads are the best for gaming mice. It's a metal mouse pad that has two sides, one for speed and one for accuracy. Just some suggestions.

I have this enabled because I like it for windows. But raw input 1 in tf2 makes that a non factor, right?

#31 Mechanical Keyboard Switches in Hardware
Ellie_GouldingExMachinatornados2111Isn't there something you can put on the keyswitches like some ring or something that will dampen the sound and make it less annoying for teammates?Yeah, o-rings.

They only lessen the sound of bottoming out.

But only noobs bottom out :3

Seriously? I haven't got my mechanical keyboard but I find it hard to imagine me keeping my button half pressed. Like that in itself requires concentration. Isn't it easier to just bottom out without thinking about it

Raiku, it is no doubt that if you spend a lot of time on a computer typing or playing games then it's definitely worth it, even for a "good feeling"

cherry mx switches, look at them.
If you like brown get the mx brown ones.

Personally I see no point to spend like 90$+ for a keyboard, with different switches, so far my 10$ normal keyboard is doing fine, and if it does break it's isn't a big hazel to get a new one.
I disagree. Of course it's not the most important thing but it's just like getting a monitor with better colour, or a mouse that you prefer. It will make you experience better and you will be happier with that

I can see why a mouse or a 120hz monitor would benefit you as far as improving goes, but a keyboard, I just don't see it. I know people who have said that 'Yea, the 120hz does make it a lot better', never have I heard that 'Yea, my new mechanical keyboard made me improve like a maniac'

That's not what I said. I said it's not as important. It will make your experience better, and you will find typing and using the keyboard more satisfying

And op, nobody can really give you advice for what mechanical switches to get. There are a few "guidelines" like reds are best for gaming and blues for typing, brows for middleground but these are vague guidelines that don't apply to everybody. Find a store that sells them, try the different switches and make you conclusion on what you prefer yourself

This is definitely very very useful. I'll keep it bookmarked and I'm sure I'll meet some people who will need it
