#1 AMD graphics drivers have a major update in Hardware

http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/desktop?os=Windows+10+-+64

I don't pretend to know if this actually helps anything for benchmarks, but there's one important thing here:

Custom Resolution Support:
This feature provides users more control over display capabilities allowing the user to create custom display profiles to attempt to drive their display with chosen resolution, timings, refresh rates and pixel clocks.

in other words, now you don't need a program like CRU anymore, it's a native thing

#111 Games you played as a kid in Off Topic

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nm8CPQxXACQ

it was really terrible, but I wanted to play tekken and there was no tekken for the n64 so this is what I got stuck with

ninja room is the only good track in the entire game, b/c whereas the other ones try hard to be worse versions of other FG themes this one's sorta catchy

#28 Favourite aspect of competitive tf2? in TF2 General Discussion

actually, one other thing: TF2's level of control being so precise, so infinite in its skill ceiling at times that you can still see goofy things like top players cratering themselves by accident from time to time b/c they mistimed one small thing

again, thinking like melee, where top 10 players sideb off the stage all the time... by creating a plateau nobody can truly reach on their own, you create a scenario wherein both technical mastery and less-technical simplicity can sit on a similar level of viability, since they both create different forms of consistency

#3 Favourite aspect of competitive tf2? in TF2 General Discussion

the knowledge that the game you played as a teen that everyone called you weird for b/c it wasn't call of duty is actually beloved in great detail by others

also, the sorta closeness of it, how you can find top players mingling + talking w/ newbs all the time. it gives me that melee vibe, that's a good vibe to have

more recently, he was a bit shit w/ getting the i55 money to his teammates (which still sounds so silly to me, why is all of the prize money entrusted w/ one person)

M4ngoLthink of how b4nny would feel. it doesn't really matter to the rest of the team but that's grant's job! he might need to go and find another job now or some shit

he's still mostly getting paid via twitch ads, subs + marketplace.tf sponsorship, last I checked, so if he wants to continue it he can just find a new team + he'll be fine

StevieWhilst It's understandable Valve really wants to do a great job with matchmaking, if they don't "Step on it" or get it out soon, TF2 may literally die (or at least the comp side) due to OW. Sure the mm may bring new players, but if at this rate we continually lose players/teams, there will be no "Veterans" to make the competition more intense.

idk, as much as froyotech was the big team for the longest time, I like to think ascent can hold the fort down until MM

Hellbentthe comp scene is like 1/100 of the playerbase

it's also 100% of the people newbies will look at once matchmaking is out, so it's an important factor

if b4nny has to make a LFT, it will be the most surreal fucking thing on the planet to me

like... b4nny has been in finals every season for as long as I've even been aware tf2 had a comp scene at all

also, blaze pretty much already said (if not heavily implied) he was leaving too, and clockwork's drop is as inevitable as death itself with how he's treated playing TF2 in recent months. at best, that leaves b4nny and shade

#44 Should Saloon.tf Verify This Match? in Off Topic

legit tho: I can see arguments for bet issues, and if not now, I expect that to end up somehow being a big deal should TF2 become CSGO-massive, but it's not really saloon's fault that nobody actually looked between the two teams, saw how froyo was even shittalking themselves, and then still stacked the betting odds 10%:90%

#185 ESEA S20 Playoffs: froyotech vs. Team SoloUber in Matches

FWIW, b4nny's pretty much sworn up and down on his streams that froyo was gonna be fucked, b/c most of the team can't be assed to practice and historically that means a new team dominates everyone

considering how much of a clusterfuck this all was, I'm kinda glad for all of it. it's a sign of the future times, a good way to bring us into a potentially new TF2 (whenever MM is released, that is)
